No green and yellow colour

Hello
If you see the picture in yellow colour, means that there is no blue colour output from the video drive section in your tv, Yello is the mixtrure colour of red and green. Green is actualy there. blue colour is absent.
To detect this fault, you must open your tv. Just look in to the video output section, can be located at the picture tube base card, which is plughed into it diretly. See for any loose soldering points there. Check whether transisotors are used for red, green and blue output stages, or an Ic or three seperate Ics are used for this purpose. Anyway, blue catode of your picture tube pin gets a hig voltage, and so the blue emission is absent. You just check the voltages at red,gree and blue catodes, at the respective picture tube pins, which can be taken at picture tube base card. All of these three pin voltages must be somewhat equal to each other. In your case, no voltage at blue cathode will be higher that the other two. Check for the reason. It may be due to an open video output transistor [blue], or an Ic, of one Ic if used for the three colour outputs. Check and replace the same, will rectify your problem. Ok

Is the RCA F20625 a digital television?

Unlikely. If the TV supports digital, it will have an HDMI or a DVI jack on the back. Red-Green-Blue jacks are not digital. Yellow-Red-White jacks are not digital.
Will it show you a picture from a DVD or a digital Cable box? Sure, if the TV has the right connectors on the back.

Green & red tint

Most likely nothing you can do to fix this. CRT TVs use 3 colors to make an image on the screen (Red, Green, and Blue). If you're only seeing red and green then chances are the blue has stopped working. You can replace certain parts in the TV but for a 27" TV you'll probably end up paying more for the repair than a new TV.

I don't recommend taking the cover off and trying to fix TV yourself without training. CRTs have a lot of electricity stored in them (even after turned off) and you could accidentally electrocute yourself.

Display color changed from green/ white now to Red and blue?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Your described problem is as you suspected, the green is missing. This is a common failure and is technically an easy/quick repair. Almost always, the culprit would be a cold solder or a faulty color drive transistor/IC. They would be located on the small squarish PCB (printed circuit board) at the very rear of the tube. Of course, worst case scenario would be a faulty CRT (picture tube), but that would be least likely.

Corrective measure would then be initially re-soldering above describe solder joints and/or replacing faulty transistor/IC.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Just need to know where to plug in the red, green and blue cords

The red-blue-green outputs of the cable box are COMPONENT video, and the yellow-white-red inputs on the tv are COMPOSITE video. Although the words sound almost alike and the connectors look similar, they are incompatible signals. You'll need to change either the cable box or the tv so they match. Maybe this would be a good way to rationalize getting that new home theater system! Or maybe call your tv cable company and ask for a different box with composite video output. Once the cable box matches the tv, you don't necessarily need to change the cables. If the connectors fit, go ahead and use the cables you have.

Picture is fine, but the sound won't work

Are the yellow, red & white cables RCA phono plugs?

Yellow = Video
Red = Right Audio
White = Left Audio (mono)

The red, blue & green cables are for picture only and don't include sound. Have you tried using the red, blue & green for the picture and using the other cable, red & white for just the sound? Don't use the yellow.

Good luck!
