Lc 41y i have a defective ink cartridge - how do i get a replacement and why should i have to pay for it

I do not need a technical solution- all i need is how can i get a new yellow lc41y ink cartridge to replace a defective one
can i exchange the cartridge for a new one or
can i buy only a yellow cartridge
if neither i will have to buy another package and am stuck with defective yellow cartridge

i bought a package of 3 colors necessary to print in black- yellow wouldn't take - luckily i always have an extra package so i replaced the yellow and my printer works
but my extra package is now short a yellow cartridge-

my problem is outside the box - thanks anyway

I am a one man shop and i have a client who has a hp6110 and i'm receiving remove and check cartridges. i have cleaned print cart,print carr assembly,took printer apart and cleaned ink well ,cleaned timing...


Hello there,

Mostly, once you encounter this issue and you have cleaned the print cartridge, the print assembly and even the ink cartridge itself, there is a bigger possibility that the print cartridge is defective.
Make sure to clean everything (including the ink contacts on the ink cartridges and the contacts on the printer itself)

Most of the time, the defective parts are the print cartridge or the print assembly but not the logic board on the printer itself. First thing you should do after cleaning everything is to look for a replacement for the print cartridges.

Will not print alignment page. all 3 light on front panel begin blinking

IF YOU WANT TO SKIP THE ALIGNMENT PAGE, Press and hold the Setup button, and then press OK . the printer not prind very very well, but the product works.There are several reasons why the HP All-in-One may fail to align the cartridges. The most common reason is an ink cartridge that has one of the following problems:
  • One of the ink cartridges is low or out of ink. Black and all three colors must be available.
  • The paper has already been printed on or is colored paper.
  • Protective tape on a new ink cartridge has not been removed.
  • Contacts on the ink cartridge are not meeting the contacts in the carriage correctly.
  • Cartridge is remanufactured or refilled. Refilled or remanufactured ink cartridges may have been damaged during the refilling process or have clogged ink nozzles.
  • The ink cartridge is defective.

As the manufacturer always suggest don't replace your ink with just a refill.

Please replace your ink cartridge with original ink cartridge.

I have error 29 on my 210c


!!!! Magenta ink error !!!!
The ink has run out or the ink cartridge is not set into place.
26: Black ink
27: Yellow ink
28: Cyan ink
29: Magenta ink
1. Reload ink cartridges, referring to the Owner's Manual.
2. Ink cartridge PCB defective Replace the ink refill ASSY.
3. Cannot detect ink cartridges.Main PCB defective Replace the main PCB.
I know your machine was not originally showing signs of main board fault or Ink supply issues, although main board can be killed by incorrect use of maintence mode.
