Re: HIT KC-91 clock alarm
If the manual says you can't chance the volume, then you can't change the volume! You might be able to rig something to make it a bit quieter though...
See if you can see where the speaker/sounder is located (there are usually some small holes drilled in the casing to let the sound out, although sometimes there might only be the one.) Try covering some/all of these with a piece of sticky tape. Other than that, there isn't really anything you can do!

ONB14AV201 alarm clock with gradual wake alarm function. Radio alarm sound level will start from 0-15 within 12 to 15 second when alarm on. You can adjust the radio alarm volume by press the "ALM2/VOL-" or "ALM2/VOL+" buttons.
The manual not mention the radio alarm sound level can be preset.
Hi, A 8 year old can do this. On the back of the clock there should be 2 round turning nobs. 1 is for to set time (min...) 2sec is for to set timer for that hour...usually is a smaller hand on face of clock.
select hour to wake up at and set alarm Button. This is only basic set up.
It's very easy to do. First, make sure the 2 little slider switches on the far right hand side that turn the alarms on and off, are in the "down" off position. On that clock, just to the right of the large snooze button there are 5 small square buttons. Time, Fast, Slow, Alarm set 1, Alarm set 2. Depending on which alarm you want to set, hold down that button and simultaneously push either the "fast" or "slow" button to the left of it. The numbers will move forward fast or slow depending on which button you're pressing. Keep an eye on the upper left corner to determine when you've gone past 12 noon - as the indicator for PM will light up. Keep holding down the 2 buttons until you get to the time you want. Then immediately release the fast/slow button. Your time is set. Do the same for alarm 2 if needed. When finished, flip up the switch for the alarm you want to activate, and you're good to go. Piece of cake! It took me a few minutes to figure it out; but after doing it one time...it's easy. Hope that helps. I love this old Sunbeam clock. Only problem is the alarm is not very loud and there's no way to raise the volume - short of connecting wires to the speaker and using a powered speaker. Cheers!
For the CKS2000N, you set the alarm by pressing Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 (both are on the top, one to the left and the other to the right) then hold the button while you use the up or down arrows to adjust the wake time. Press and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button and then press the Alarm Mode button to select the days of the week you want that alarm to ring (Weekdays, Weekends or Everyday). Finally set the Alarm selector (on the left side at the back) switch for each alarm to Radio, Buzz or Off. If the alarn selector is off, the alarm will not ring.
I lost my manual also so had to resort to relentless trial
The problem with the alarm is that it is too easy to turn it
The 1 and 2 buttons on top of the
unit with the alarm clock symbol turn each alarm on or off.Your only cue is on the display in the top
line of the display which will have a bell followed by “RADIO” or “SOUNDS”, if the alarm is armed. If you see this symbol and want to disarm the
alarm, press the 1 or 2 alarm button according to which alarm was on the
display. It’s just as easy to turn the
alarm back on either deliberately or accidently
Enter Alarm Setting mode by holding the 1 or 2 alarm button
for about 2 seconds.
Display will flash – in this mode you will be able to do the
Date Set Button – changes between
Arrow Buttons – adjust the time
Alarm 1 (Radio):
Mode Button – changes between
1-6 Buttons-- changes between stations
Alarm 2 (Sounds):
Mode Button – changes between SD1/SD2/SD3/SD4/Buzzer
If you don’t change any settings
for about 5 seconds the unit exits the alarm setting mode.
Timex already has your money so I guess they are not motivated
to publish their manual.
