Question about SanDisk Sansa m250 MP3 Player

Title/Albun information not displaying properly?

I've been trying to manage my m250 with Winamp (latest release), and the title/album information has been screwed up for most, if not all of the files that I've put on it with Winamp. In fact, the title/album info has been slightly grayed out since I started doing this, though it may be the battery.

Prior to this, I was drag-and-dropping files, but I was having trouble deleting them, and/or replacing them (if it turned out that the tags were wrong or missing, for example), which is why I started trying to manage the player with Winamp.

But now, the title/album information that scrolls along is oftentimes garbled at best, and no matter what I do, some files just refuse to read correctly.

Any help that you could give me with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I added CD covers to the CD's in my COBY MP707. They show up in the media manager software, but I can't get them into the physical player. Also sometimes the album gets broken up in the player...

The mp3 player organizes by ID3 tag information, which is on the individual song. It unfortunately doesn't organize it any other way. Album art is not supported by the MP3 player. You can copy it over but it wont show, probably just see the default keyboard image. You can edit the ID3 information with a tag editor..the naming has nothing to do with it, most of Coby's MP3 players have no sort order for music outside of what I just explained.

The owners manual should show how to do this, if you don't have one "download" one from several web sites or distrubutors.

My player (sansa clip 2gb)won't read tags (artist, album ...)

You check your songs from your computer first; Right click on one of songs, select Properties, select Summary tab (check Artist, Album Title, and Title). If they are there, you should update new firmware (search SANDISK FORUM from google). If they are empty, it's right for device display the filename.

G'day, I have owned and looked after my DXZ735 MP since 2004 and have recently had a new pickup fitted and a full service, along with some new firmware. The Title 'tags' have never worked properly and I...

I don't think there is anything wrong with how your doing the ID3-tag..
Have you tried pressing the [D] button while playing one of these disc's..
It sounds to me like it's reading the CD title as the ROOT (main) folder.
I found this in the manual:
Displaying CD titles
This unit can display title data for CD-text/MP3/ WMA disc and user titles input with this unit.
1. Press the [D] button to display the title.
2. Each time you press and hold the [D] button for 1 second or longer, the title display changes in the following order:
User title (disc) ? CD-text title (disc) ? Artist name ? CD-text title (track) ? User title (disc)... Folder ? File ? Album TAG ? Artist TAG ? Title TAG ? Folder...
For more info have a look at the online manual:
http://www.clarion.com/us/en/MungoBlobs/89/552/DXZ735MP(Manual).pdf
You will find the info on page 12 through to 13.

Problem with my ripped music

I clearly understand your problem.....the best way to sort it would be to create a new music folder...put all album folders separately in this new folder....rename songs in the respective albums folder and then sync this folder to your player....try with a couple of songs first...if it works you can change your entire library as mentioned above....a difficult job...but helps manage your music better..:)

Songs deleted, but empty space and song info. still remain

Get yourself anapod from Redchair software, this works on older PC's and you just drag and drop songs onto your ipod. Its also very easy to delete tracks aswell.Anapod supports adding and deleting photos onto the ipod.

Playlist problems

The only way you can get the tracks to play in order is to rename them before you put them on the player.

eg.

Album title - 01 - Track name
Album title - 02 - Track name
Album title - 03 - Track name

Album title - 10 - Track name

and so on

The albums will stay together, and the track number will put them in order within each album. Just remember to use 2 digit track numbers or they will sort 1, 10, 11, 12, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

I assume this is in a PC? Simply right click each title whilst in the PC and click on 'Rename' Or click file/save as/and give the file a name This incidently will leave an un-named copy on the computer
