I do not have a XP dick, the system came only with restoration disk and recovery partition on hard drive. I tried to install using the srchasst.inf file but I need a XP Pro disk for that. Is there some way I can get the necessary files without getting the whole disk or is there some other way to accomplish this?

Hi,
Try Scanning your Computer For Computer Viruses.
then re-install Windows XP.
Your files will remain intact, if you select to leave the hard-drive As it is ( rather Than Format it ) or setup on a different Partition.
Backup your Valuable Docs/Files First.
Windows re-installation will replace any Missing-deleted Corrupt Files.
hope This Helps you.

Hi There,

Windows Media Center Edition is exactly that; an "Edition" of XP Pro. If you go to My Computer and then click on System Properties, you will likely be comforted to see that you indeed have Windows Media Center Edition 2005.

MY WIDOWS XP WONT BOOT IN ANY MOOD

Hey,

you will need a copy of the windows installation cd or the recovery media that comes with the computer.

Ones you have that you have to reinstall windows or restore from the recovery media to get your computer working normally again.

You can also take the computer to a local professional who can install it for you if you don't have the disc.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Ekse
