Question about Samsung RS2578BB Side by Side Refrigerator
The fridge now won't go below 12 degrees. Before it was sometimes not cold enough, but still showing the temperature of 4 degrees on the screen. That went on for about 3 months, prior to that it was fine for 2.5 years.
The fridge temperature went from 4 degrees on the screen to 12 degrees in 1 minute yesterday, and now is barely cold inside. Freezer is OK.
Is a main board problem or thermostat / sensors do you think? Is there some way of resetting the main board?
You most likely have to remove the evaporator cover and de-ice it. As long as it doesn't ice up again it should work well for a while.
You could unplug the fridge until it melts the ice out of the evaporator, but unless you have another fridge to use in the mean time or lots of coolers and ice it may be easier to de-ice the evaporator.
