Hey you guys, The 360s A great Machine.
Even though i was more than sceptical upon it,s release.
I posted on various forums that the Xbox 360, would inevitably undergo overheating problems. The Standard xbox was only a 700mhz P3 processor and that suffered issues.
So how the hell could M$ release a console nearly 5 times the CPU power, in a smaller enclosure, and not expect to get issues.
They are however now working on the solution. Chances are that if you get a replacement console now, they will most likely be modified to deal better with these issues.
I think that as with all electrical appliances, to play 2-3 hours then save and switch off for an hour, your consoles would last much longer. The other issue is that people do tend to put them on top of or under other appliances i.e DVD players freeview boxes et,c. Enclosed within small areas ( Lack of air circulation ) if you leave a car idling for 4 hours, it,s going to overheat. Have a look on Fixya, and see the now starting PS3 Problems and issues, at least M$ have a head start with this issue.
The 360 is a great console, fantastic graphics/sound and excellent value for money. plus plenty of game-titles being released. Watchdog can only critisize M$ if they,re not willing to do anything about it. we all have options to purchase additional warranty. once 12 months is up. The consoles run it,s guarantee period.
