My Sansa Fuze sometimes goes to the White Screen of Death too-- 1) Turn it on, get the white screen, then hold the 'off' button in the up position for up to 20 seconds to force it off. Wait 20 more seconds, then turn it on again.
2) You may have to reformat your player-- If you have a copy of the 'Sansa Updater' software on your computer, page 17 of the user manual says that reformatting the player is possible through commands from your computer. If your player is recognized by the computer, this could also work.
It sound like something happened to the screen. It could also be something with the motherboard inside your SanDisk Sansa. If it's still under warranty I would see if you could have it replaced.
we just got a sansa fuze and downloaded media player but its put everything photos and music from my husbands computer on to it, its for my son how do we remove it all? HELP!
