Sony dsc-t200, making a noise and not focusing correctly
My camera is a sony dsc-t200 and its making a noise when it is trying to focus, the noise is comming from the piece that changes the image to a digital picture. where can i get parts?
Is this a part that is going to have to be replaced or when i turn it off and then turn it back on, should it go right back to working properly??? I had someone look @ it and that seems to be the problem. But now that i have it apart should i change it, and if so where can i get a Magnetic Sensor? Is this a part that is going to have to be replaced or when i turn it off and then turn it back on, should it go right back to working properly??? hi,
your camera has IS unit get defective cause vibrate noise. and out of focus. It will require realignment or lens unit assemble or replacement of the lens unit. your local repair shop would charge around $65 to 135 depend on what they really want to charge.
Good luck with you and best regard!
sounds like lense gears are going bad, when you turn camera on the lense extends, if it does not extend fully probably will not auto focus, call sony for address for estimate of repairs.

Difficult to adjust focus
(Cannot initialize focus)
Retry turn the power on by the power switch. If it does not
recover, check the focus reset sensor of lens block (pin ea of CN401 on the SY-183 board). If it is OK, check the focus motor drive IC (IC401 on the SY-183 Main board).
These Sony cameras including T70, T100, T200, T300 all have the same problem. There is a little black circular plastic piece in the lens that comes off the place where it is supposed to be. The piece moves around inside the lens and the focusing element can't freely move under the pull of the spring and the lens can't focus anymore. This happens after a good shake. Lens may stop focusing if dust gets in the focusing elements gear. This happens often if you put your camera in a dusty pocket, bag, purse etc.
Dropping it can cause a several problems inside the camera from mechanical to electrical. To try and troubleshoot that yourself can be very difficult.
There are certain issues that you can fix by "banging it" but they are a last resort and ONLY if you are ready to trash the camera.
I'm sorry, it's probably not what you want to hear, but you really ought to take it to an authorized repair shop.
You can not feed or save direct video out put of TV in to camera to put it on youtube.com You need to mount camera on tripod focusing TV screen and start recording to make movie clip to upload it to youtube.
