Tasco Space Station 800 x 70 Telescope

How would you explain to a complete novice how to use a telescope? I was given a Tasco Space Station 800 x 70 Telescope and my son assembled it for me, but I have no idea how to use it. HELP!

I have taken an interest in the stars - trying to identify constellations etc., and a friend thought I would like a telescope. I would love it - if only I could use it....

received Tascp Space Station as a gift..interested in learning how to use instructions as to different lenses, etc, have not a clue what to do.. I have Vista on my new computer so I had to have my daughter print out the Tasco Sky Watch user guide..all 100 pages!. Are there any instructions available or do we just go by trial and error?

I followed the instructions as noted in the manual. However, I think there is something wrong. :o(

I'm having trouble focusing.... Actually, I'm having trouble with the entire thing.

My first telescope was a smaller and simplier product..... I think I made a mistake getting this one.

You are only going to be able to see the moon and several of the brighter planets-- and maybe a few bright star clusters -- like M44.

Practice focusing during the daytime on a distant object-- and only use the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it-- try to locate a local Astronomy club and attend one of their free star parties.

Sorry to tell you this but tasco 70mm scopes are junck it is imposible to reach 800x with this scope. the most you could get is 80x if you are lucky.if you want good views with a scope you need at least 80mm and would get better views of the sky with binoculars 10x50 and up, than what you have.

Why is the finderscope showing the view upsidedown?

All astronomical telescopes show upside down images-- it's normal. There is no up or down in space. You can buy an "erecting" prism for terrestrial viewing.

I need a manual for optisan 1000114ii telescope

Read my tips in my profile section. This scope is 50mm in aperture, exactly the same as a pair of 10x50mm binoculars.

The binoculars would have been better for astronomy.

I have lost my user manual for telescope tasco 40-076420h can you help please regards joseph

Here is your manual:

You will need to register to download it. The manual will NOT help you learn how to use your telescope. It only has assembly instructions. Objects in the sky are tiny and dim, smaller than the tip of your finger held at arms length.

I was given a 12TE-5 Tasco telescope without any manual and I would like to know how to assemble and use

Look at the picture on this web site:

This is a classic Japan made Tasco refractor.

Very simple to assemble-- just by looking at the picture above.

Then read my TIP -- frequently asked questions- on my profile page.

Buy a good astronomy book like:

Objects going the wrong way

All astronomical telescopes show images that are upside down --- no up or down in space!

You need an ERECTING prism--

You won't find a manual--- from Tasco--- however Meade maintains a web site with all of their manuals-- find one similar to yours. They all go together about the same.

Hi I have just got a Tasco telescope space station and i have it all set up but cant seem to be able to remove the lense at the end of the telescope. How would it come off?? Thanks

I assume this is the refractor style model-- the "L" shaped device on the end is a diagonal -- the eyepiece goes into the diagonal. Loosen the set-screws.
