Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
After a month of using my brand new psp it now runs all games in slow motion from the opening part of any game up to playing the game. it sucks. i have suspected that a computer virus might be the culprit. i really dont know. ive tried formatting the memory stick but the problem still persists.please help me solve this problem.
Try pluging it to your pc with the usb cable and scan for viruses

Hey man, at this time there are only two psp viruses that i know of. they are both trojans disguised as downgraders, that if used, they brick your psp so i dont think they are the problem. what firmwire version are you running? and have you messed around with the cpu speeds or anything like that?

I'm assuming that when you say "chipped" you mean "hacked"
If this is the case and you have an M33 firmware, you have 2 options.
1. get it reflashed or update it to a newer firmware which will reset all of your settings.
2. press select and at the top of the screen there will be a menu that you can change 2 cpu speeds. play with those settings until the games play smoothly.
If that doesn't work your only option is choice #1.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

go down to the store and find a cleaner disk for psp they are few and far between. put the cleaner disk in and restart the psp, as in factory settings, you have a small memory dubp problem, thats causing a little visual and sometines audeo delay or lag in the screen.
good luck, lamby!
