Question about Acer Aspire 5630 Notebook
Please since i started using acer5630 i haven't encounter any problem untill recently my usb port seems not to recognise any pendrive or usb port.please i need you to help me solve this problem since i cant even copy things on my pendrive for my research
First of all, we are NOT hackers. Don't know where you got that idea, but I myself find it rather repulsive. The problem may lie in the fact your computer may be mapping your USB PenDrive the same as another drive on your computer, making it inaccessable. Now, I requested more information so that I could better assist, but you failed to provide what I asked for. To find out if your computer is dual-mapping a drive letter, you need to access Control Panels -> Adminstrative Tools -> Computer Management, and select the Disk Management at the bottom. You should be able to find the PenDrive in the Bottom Right pane, right click it, select 'Chage Drive Letter' and select an unused drive letter (perhaps M:). If that is the problem, that right there will fix it for you.

Please i have already done everything u have told me but please is there a way you can connect to my laptop and figure the problem since you are hackers and solve it for me.

I thank you very much for always trying to help solve my problem.but i will never stop complaining until my problem is solved.so please i have tried all the suggestion you gave me but all proved futile.i dont know whether it is a problem of a power serge.if so what suggestion can you give Mr wizard

Click on start, control panel, then double click system
Next click on the hardware table, then device manager
Click on the + next to the Universal Serial Bus controller
Click on USB Root Hub and press the Delete key (remove all USB Root Hubs then restart you computer
Once it comes back up try the USB drive again.
If this does not work then I would then check out the ACER website for laptop drives

Try re-installing the system drivers, go to the Acer Website and do a search for its drivers. Download the mainboard drivers or any drivers that may have been updated and install them and see if that doesnt get it fized. Sometimes the drivers get messed up and need to be re-installed.

Hi check your pndrive is ok or not try another pendrive or usb device to confirm that your laptop works fine if not that check for your usb drivers, goto my computer ->select my computer -> right click->properties->hardware->device manager-> check for universal serial bus controller if there is any yellow symbol or red cross mark on that that your usb port is not working check for proper drivers else your usb port on the motherboard is faulty you can't solve yourself goto to your nearest service center i hope this information help you.

Try a different pen drvbe to see if the problem lies with the drive.
