Question about Epson AcuLaser C900 Printer

Transfer Belt I have a C900 Epsom and the Transfer Unit has gone, I got hold of another but it still shows that the transfer belt needs renewing. Have you any ideas on this. Thankyou John Holt

    I hope this isn't a stupid question, but which menu are you referring to? There is no menus on the C900 (no buttons or displats), and the only way to communicate with the printer is via the Epson Status Monitor 3. Is there configuration menus in this software? I have not seen any. But maybe there is a new version out that I do not know about.

You need to reset the printer in the menu. There is a option in the menu where you tell the printer that you installed a new transfer kit.

Remove the transfer belt unit and change the chip fuse on transfer unit.The fuse is or a little green pieces or glass fuses ,the value 0,065mA/250V rapid fuse.After change the fuse pull on the unit and turn ON the copier.Before change the fuse reset the transfer belt counter in the Present parts life mode.

Lexmark X500N says replace transfer belt, what is it, and how do I change it?


The transfer belt is located inisde the printer and is what moves the paper back out the printer. You will need to open the back cover of the unit then you will lift the top part of the printer off. This will expose the transfer belt. There is a bracket holding the transfer belt with two screws that will need to be removed. Then two more screws that are holding the belt assembly in place. Once those are removed then you can slide out the transfer belt assembly. The new replacement transfer belt assembly will slide back in replacing the old one. Then repeat the steps opposite to install. Then remove the four spacers on the new belt(on each corner). Then you will reset the counter for the belt and will need to run the printer alignment settings.

Re Samsung CLX-3160FN & Transfer Belt Error


Take out the Imaging unit ,transfer belt and fix it properly.
Also take care that you will keep the printer on even surface.

IF nothing is solving the problem then you need to replace the transfer belt as a final solution.

How do I clean print heads re Epson Aculaser c900


you can clean print head unit
first remove opc and transfer belt ,then move front cover,then rmove
the Drum Unit Slide Cover,then
Remove the Laser Lens Cover.
now you can see printhead unit .Clean it and its ok.

TRANSFER BELT ERROR


This error indicates that there is a problem with the transfer belt. Either it has failed, reached end of life ( it is a consumable item, just like toner, and needs to be replaced on occasion ), or just is not correctly installed.

Try reseating it first. Remove the imaging drum unit ( the housing that holds the 4 toners ). The transfer belt is the unit behind the drum that is inserted along the top edge of the drum cavity.
it can be a little tricky to get it in there correcty. Kind of hold it up against the top of the cavity as you slide it back towards its holder.

Samsung CLP600 - wants me to install a transfer belt


"install transfer belt" message" appeared right after black toner was relpaced with a non samsung toner(new chip too)--installation of new transfer belt did not solve problem--- i went back and reinstalled the original samsung chip into the toner cartridge---the "install transfer belt" message is gone and the printer works but has a "low toner" message----i guess i learned my lesson the hard way---anyone in the market for a new transfer belt???........wj

Ricoh Aficio cl2000


Most of the time when I find this happening on a printer, not just Ricoh's it turns out to be the PCU (photo conductor unit). The color PCU is one unit and the black is a seperate unit. Hope this helps.
