Turn off for a moment, try again, reconnect your controller.
Since its brand new, you can get it replaced if that doesn't work, dont waste your energy on it, just get another one, free replacement / warraty. Im sure.
The red button, is a sync button and not a reset button. You can try resyncing your wii remotes to your wii follow these steps:
Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it
on.
Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of
the Wii console.
Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii
Remote you
wish to sync up.
Press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card
compartment
on the console. Press and release the SYNC button just below the
batteries
on the Wii Remote.
When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The
LED that
is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
You must have batteries in when pressing the red sync button on the wii remote, if your using the wii remote charger system, you must remove it and use batteries until this step is done
I also lost the manual for my GE JC024 Universal Remote. I remembered though that you just hold in the button for the device you want to program and the "SETUP" button at the same time for about 5 seconds until the red light on the remote flashes and stays lit. then let go of the buttons. Then you basically just press and let go of the on/off button, pausing for a second or two in between presses until your device turns off. then you have to press the "ENTER" button and it'll store the code for that device. This method just cycles thru all of the possible codes for that device. sometimes you get the wrong code and the remote wont completely work. like hitting the volume button makes the tv mute for example. just repeat the steps until the device turns off again and eventually you should be able to get it. hope this helps.
Replace the batteries from the remote control. Press and hold the TV button on remote for 5 seconds. If the red light shines bright, your remote is OK since it is showing it's programmable side. If unit still won't go on using the remote, reboot the whole system by unplugging the power cord and other wire from the Subwoofer. Wait one minute, then replug all and see if the system displays BOSE 321 in front when re-connected. If so, try the remote and if that doesn't work, your dead, the Infra red communication device from the unit to the remote is busted inside the unit and needs to be returned to the company like mine!!!!!
just fixed mine. i went to psclones web site ...it doesn't even have the PS3 remote listed a s a product!! however by reading the PS2 manual i figured that if I basically adapted the instructions it might help...I moved the remote to the 3rd slot.. turned off controller switch... held connect button on reciever... turned on controller.... held connect button....held select button ......held down left analogue stick....in no particular order...going back and forth until i noticed the lights had started to go steady... kept holding (30 secs+) Saw a single steady red on 3rd slot...It stayed...Yeh ;O (no clue what was the deciding factor...but theres hope!!) Lesson learned..next time i pay the full price for the Sony remote... Hope this helps
