Whirlpool top loader washers have a self-leveling mechanism on the rear two feet of the washer that has to be readjusted from time to time. The following link explains how:

Many consumers do not know about this very simple procedure and will end up paying a repairman to do this same service. With the rear legs readjusted, the front legs need to be leveled to match.
Try this procedure and check the level of your washer. If the washer is not correctly leveled front-to-back and side-to-side, it WILL shake during the spin cycle.
If these procedures do not correct the problem, you may have a balance spring loose or the wash plate suspension is worn. I would rather you take the step of rechecking the washer level first, before you start disassembling the washer (which may not be necessary).
If you need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
