Fisher and Pykel Kelvinator (058) 5.5kg Machine wont run.powers up but wont start. even when advance button or pause used. Wont go no matter which temperature/spin configurations selected. Machine is half full of water which it wont pump out either.machine is ten years old. last year it stopped working on hot or warm (stopped and alarm sounded. I put in some warm water from the tap before programming and switching on this time and it has not gone since.
Any ideas thanks. Cant really afford a new machine so hoping its an easy glitch. Paul

Check the lid switch under the lower board they rust and the fault is normally not starting,or the display board can rust inside near the start/pause button if so try and unsolder a button you dont use and replace the start button.

Your cold valve is faulty. The rubber membrance inside the valve can damaged after certain period of time. The problem may be inside the controller if replcement valve can't fix the problem. There is a resistor on the current path to the valve. It is on the control board. Some timems it can go open. Good luck with the repair
Hi just read your posting. Now Error code 136 means you have a motor stall fault. This means the motor controller cannot start the motor turning.Has your machine been noisy on spin? The things that cause this fault are, seized or faulty bearings, wiring to the motor faulty, faulty motor, faulty rotor position sensor, or faulty motor controller.Do you have or can borrow an electrical test meter ?If the answer is yes I can guide you throe the testing of the components to track this fault done. Please reply with additional information about the spin cycle and if you can get a meter and I will help you further.
Spin the fan on water pump (you can acess with difficulty from bottom of washer) if it has a little sand in it, it may clear. It is possible to remove water pump if mechanically minded and see if something small eg staple or 5c coin is stuck in it if this dosn't work or you may find you need to replace water pump.
