Same problem; I was reviewing some photos and the camera quit. It did not retract the lens, nor close the lens cover. It won't respond on the docking station. Nor will it recharge with USB,or the docking station. Fresh batteries had no effect. It still has the lens extended, and the lens cover open. It just completely died. Is there a reset button inside somewhere? Thanks.

The likely problem is your batteries. Digital cameras need to run on rechargeable batteries, If you are already using rechargeables, have a look at tha mAh value which should be written on the side. Retailers recomend a value of at least 1800,personally i would go for 2100.

I uploaded the pics from my c513 and now i cant get the camera to turn on i have new batteries and even if i plug it into my computer it wont even recognize it now

Sounds like you pulled out the camera without using the "safely remove hardware" function. Try this...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

1. There are hundreds and hundreds of programs that can restore lost files from a formatted drive... just google it

2. You cannot use a usb cable to transfer files (or at least not on my computer) with this camera, you have to take the card out of the camera and directly plug it into your computer

Hope I helped

Upload pictures onto laptop- way too big

This is a 12.1MP camera...if you have it set to take pictures that large, then the files will be huge...too big for the internet. You have to downsize them first...that's perfectly normal. You could set the camera to take lower quality pics, but if you come across one you would like to enlarge, it won't turn out very well. Why not continue the procedure you now use if it's working for you.

Havent been able to find any software, but you can try the following workaround:
1. Plug in the camera to the PC and ensure it is detected by the PC.
2. Right click START button and select Explore.
3. From the left panel, scroll to the drive corresponding to your camera. (It will usually be located after the last DVD/CD ROM Drive letter.
4. Click on that drive to expand the folders in the right pane.
5. Search for the relevant pictures from a folder within that drive.
6. Copy the required pics (Press CTRL and click on pics in case you want to select more than one pic.
7. Once you copied all the needed pics, select a folder on your computer (or create a new one) and paste the pics into this folder.
8. You're done :)

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. - If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating. I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.

Uploaded pics to pc and now it wont turn on

First check batteries, because on Digital Cameras they go out pretty fast. So if you know for a fact it's not batteries, then also dust in a camera can jam it and cause it not to work simply open up and blow in it softly and add new batteries, if don't at first work try again.
