Question about Video Cameras
My comupters wont recognise that my camera is connected. I have bought 2 separate firewire cables and still nothing happens. I have tried different programs, it was sent away for warranty but returned because it was apparently working. I cant get my PC to recognise the camera so that I can capture....run out of ideas and options.
I'm also facing the same problem for this model of camera. in my case, i don't have any on-board firewire port. so i've bought a firewire card, and connected my camera to that. but my camera shows the dv sign, though my pc don't recognise it. please, can any one help. i really need that.

Is your firewire controller turned on or enabled in the BIOS? Maybe its off. when your PC boots up, use the F2 key or del to get into th e BIOS, under peripherals, there may be a firewire controller that can be disabled/enabled. Check that and get back to us.
