I have a similar problem, I turn the TV on and you can hear a click and the red power light stays on, if I turn the power off the light flashes red. I bought this tv at an auction, it was in the box with all accessories included, I only paid 50.00. not bad for a tv that can be repaired cheap, 50.00 is more than I want to pay for a boat anchor could it be something simple like a loose wire? or do I need to hook up the speakers to another TV and see if this TV explodes when shot with a rifle. I appreciate any help you can give

Depending on the number of flashes,it could be a power supply or y-sus board. Both parts are silly money. The flashing light indicates a fatal startup error. These units make a great boat anchor for a 16ft boat.

The main menu setting keeps coming back on, unable to use cable 1 or turn to a different cable or channel. (Happened only after power surge) Already tried to re connect the TV, in the main menu setting we...

Hello

I have actually seen this before. The tv in my living room did it and it was a simple fix. I had to download the latest software. Put it on a usb key. Turn the tv off... Stick the key in and load the new software.

The only TRICK was that I had to hold down the VOLUME - button on the tv itself while my wife worked the remote.

So, if you can hold down your VOLUME - button and do things to your tv I would think this might work for you too. I know it sounds strange that a software upgrade can fix this, but it did for me.

Hope this helps

If possible turn one off and tune the other. Then turn the other off and tune it. Then turn on the other. That is your only option at this point.

ESA 42" plasma tv not turning on

I have a 42 inch plasma and I was watching tv last night on it and suddenly it turned off on it's own. I tried turning it off and on and nothing happened. Then I tried to unplug it and replug it and nothing. My remote does not work either. Anyone know what exactly happened? Did my screen blow or what? I hardly ever use the tv and I only had it on from 8:30 p.m. - 10:20 p.m. and it turned off. All the other tv's in my house worked fine - I checked them. Also, my dvd player and cable box is on the same power cord and both of them work. Any solutions or help would be most appreciated!!! Does it just need to cool down or did I burn something out? Help!!!
