Hi I have purchased 5 x Thomson 6677 mp3 players. They are a cheap little 1GB player which I planned to use as give aways for business development with audio material about our company...

try relabeling the tracts in the following order. 01,02,03 etc. Reason the indexing on the device might be set to rearrange based on single numbers.

hope this helps.

Just to make sure...are you using supported file types? Do the files you are trying to use have DRM (digital rights management) on them that would prevent them from being used on other equipment? This means did you buy them online from a source like i-Tunes or Walmart. Try using a plain jane mp3. if you don't have one put a cd in your computer and rip it as mp3 files in window media player. Then try moving those files to the Delstar. Or try placing files it from another computer.

Check the battery. If the unit lights up when you connect it to your computer it will work.

Delstar 1036 problem

The CD contains drivers for Win 88 and ME not for XP. The manual is for those who have Chinese as their first language and want to learn bad English :) . Seriously though, on XP all you need to do is insert the player into a USB port, using the supplied cable if you wish or directly. Double click on "My Computer" which should show all of your drives including the MP3player. Double click on it to open it in a new window. Now you can drag music files (MP3, WMA, etc) into this window in order to load them into the player. When you are done make sure safely remove the player by clicking on the little green arrow in the lower right side of the screen and clicking on safely remove the device.

Copying CDs to MP3

You need to edit the tag information before you transfer them to the MP3 player.

You can right click on the track and select rename or, Properties>Summary Tab and then make the changes then transfer to the device.

If you are using Windows Media Player to RIP the tracks, there is an option to "GET CD INFO" from the internet to save you a few steps.

Best of Luck.
