About a year after I purchased it, started turning off intermittently. I could jiggle the handle or push gently on the front door and it would start again. This gradually got worse and worse until it stopped working all together. I have checked the plug which works fine when you plug other things into it. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with it or who you call to fix a microwave?
Yes I have same problem with the microwave working intermittently if you wiggle the door.

around the inner side of the door between the window and outer frame is a plastic shroud,by gentle prying it out using a flatblade screwdriver starting at the handle side working toward the hinge side it will pop off and the screws that hold the handle can be accessed and remove and replace the handle. to reinstall that shroud gentle push it in with your fingers you can go to searspartsdirect and enter in your model number exactly as found in the mw cavity and order the part or perhaps look in your phone and find a appliance parts dist. in your area
THE DOOR HAS A SAFETY SWITCH THAT SHUTS THE UNIT OFF WHEN THE DOOR IS OPENED KEEPING YOU FROM GETTING "ZAPPED WITH RADIATION" ACTUALLY ITS JUST RADIO WAVES, ANYWAY THE JIGGLING OF THE HANDLE TO START IT IS WHATS HAPPENING THERE. IT COMING ON IS JUST A SHORT IN THE SWITCH THAT MAY BE FROM AN ALREADY SET TIME, OR ITS JUST MAKING CONTACT WHERE ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO. ANYWAY YOU NEED A NEW DOOR SWITCH.
Remove two screws on top at front in order to remove plastic front vent
grill. Then the door lifts off pin hinges. Lay door flat on surface.
Plastic trim snaps off with gentle prying (start at bottom middle and
bottom hinge side). Then remove six screws holding notched metal
section with door latch. This piece will also snap out (several visible
clips holding it around edges). Then remove door handle screws, Replace
handle and reverse process to put back together.
There is a pin holding the door on upper right hand corner of the door. Holding the door in the open position, lift up on the door a little and remove the pin. The door will come off. There are two screws on the edges of the door on the end where the handle is located. Remove the screws. Now, Take a slim screw driver, and carefully pry between the inside door panel and the ourside door panel starting at the end where the door handle is. Lift the inside of the door out. The opposite end of the inside door panel will come out last. Believe me, this works. Getting it back together is a little bit different, but it snaps back together without using tools. Just put the inside of the door back by laying it down with the handle side down after you have replaced the handle of course. Now, pushing in on the inside of the door panel starting on the handle side, start with lining up the panel and push gently. It will go back into place much much easier than it comes out.
There is a internal locking mechanisim that has 2 or more switches that is usually attached with two or more screws next to the door latch side.
Crack open the micro and adjust this by shutting the door then pushing this assy toward the latches untill all the switches look like they are being pushed in fully.
If this doesn't solve the problem one of the switches or possibly more are defective.
Call a local appliance repair center and get a switch there called micro switches.
