GO TO CONTROL PANEL AND GO TO THE HARDWARE MANAGER CHECK THE MODILE NUMBER OF YOUR SOUND CARD AND REINSTALL THE DRIVERS THEM WINDOWS HAS A SOUND TEST UNDER THE SOUND SETTINGS IN CONTROL PANEL , RUN TEST ,CHECK MIXER SETTING,GOOD LUCK
P.S IF YOU HAVE A LAPTOP LIKE SAY A COMPAQ V 2000 THE REAL MODEL NUMBER IS SOME THING LIKE 2056 !!SO CHECK YOUR MODEL #AND GO FROM THERE!

If want drivers let me know which ones and i;ll send them to you in attachment.you might wanna check blu tooth and sd also see if they are installed.if you want them let me know your email.

That's in the control panel, sound settings..you may need to remove them entirely, and let the system 'see' them on restart.
