I can't hear the person talking on the phone earpiece. The volume is on high and the speaker phone works fine?

Have your earpiece retested on another device if you have. If issue occurs on another phone w/ the same earpiece, then you're gonna need to buy another earpiece and if the problem only occurs w/ your device then I suggest you do a master reset.

maybe by mistake you reduce the volume on the iphone.

try the following during a call press on the right control up volume to see if that improve your sound.

if that doesn't work you should go to an apple store or your cell provider.

The reason she can call out and the person she is calling can hear her is because the mouth piece is working perfectly.

The reason she can't receive a call or hear the person she is calling is simply because the speaker of the phone is faulty.

1. remove the battery cover, the battery and the sim,
2. Use the screwdriver or tweezers to gently pry off the RF grommet located on the antenna cap,
3. then you can split the phone open carefully and try to locate the speaker
4. by lifting up the panel below the speaker,
5. carefully disconnect the speaker from the board,
6. and replace it with a new one,
7. reverse the whole procedure for reassembly

The problem why you cannot hear the person you are talking to with the one at the top front(the main earpiece) is that the front earpiece of your phone is bad that is you cannot hear anything unless you put it on speaker.

All you need to do is to replace the front earpiece of your phone and you will see that you will hear when you are talking to anyone.

Change the front earpiece as advice and you see that you will hear your conversation when calling or receiving calls.

if you have tried raising the volume while on a call and you still have the same trouble then I'm afraid your earpiece has failed and you will need to take it to a tech and have the earpiece replaced
