In addition to advice from Solution 1 the MB I had was same as yours. Turned on computer and all I had was a spinning CPU fan and power supply fan, nothing else. Turned out to be the ram slots not making contact. Try swapping ram to unused bank or cleaning contacts on plugs with Micro-scrub and or electronic cleaner (Iso Pro). I used very fine waterpaper, then a vacume and then ISO Pro spray to clean cause I can never find the Microscrub when I need it. Make sure all is dry before reinstalling and power up.

Your list of suspects:

1. Processor is cold dead.
2. Power Supply has got a problem. Just powering a fan is not a guarantee that it is powering everything normaly. Try a different one as you test agai.
3. I suspect your MoBo is good, but try a different video card also with your new DDR.
4. Do you hear the HDD cranking or whining when you turn on the PC? Keep ear near HDD and listen. It it whine-starts, it's a fair sign.
5. Try a different monitor while you test these.

Let us know what you find in clear detail.

Is the asrock k7vm2 motherboard easily replace by the k7vm4 asrock. my k7vm2 is dead and replacements are not easy to come by. I'm just looking for a new mother board to hook up to my hard drive and not...

You may be able to just swap out the motherboard for a K7VM4 motherboard but some of the specs are different like the chipset and graphics etc.

K7VM4 specs as follows >>>>

  1. Socket A(462) for AMD processor
  2. VIA® KM400 Chipset
  • ASRock U-COP
  • Hybrid Booster - a safe overclocking feature
  • FSB 333/266/200, DDR 333/266/200
  • Integrated UniChrome 3D Graphic.
  • 1 slot for AGP 8X/4X 1.5V
  • ASROCK I/O - default 4 ready-to-use USB2.0 ports on rear panel, default Game/MIDI port.
  • ATA 133 supported
  • On board default 10/100 LAN and 5.1-Ch Audio.
K7VM2 specs as follows >>>>>>>

  1. Socket A(462) for AMD processor
  2. VIA® KM266 Chipset
  • ASRock U-COP
  • DDR 266/200
  • Integrated ProSavarage8 3DGraphic.
  • 1 slot for AGP 4X/2X universal.
  • Supports both DDR and SDRAM memory modules to provide you best flexibility and save your cost.
  • ASROCK I/O - default 4 ready-to-use USB2.0 ports on rear panel, default Game/MIDI port.
  • ATA 133 supported
  • On board default 10/100LAN and Audio.

As you can see the graphics and chipsets are different although the processor sockets are the same.

This could cause problems if you are going to plug the hard drive to another board but saying that is is possibe and has been done before.

This is a chance you take when you swap out a board for a different motherboard although i suspect that the transition should go smoothly.

A fairly old motherboard like K7VM4 or K7VM2 will not cost that much these days. You will find both motherboards for sale on eBay.

What is U16 on K7VM4 Rev. 1.03 MoBo?

Changing the CD54/74HCT365. M is rated 25 on quality and MT is 100 and M96 is 2500 and probably cost a little more too. But, what bothers me is that something else could be wrong and driving it to burn up? Asrock k7vm4 Rev. 1.03 16 Ghz and K7VM4 is the BIOS

When i burn cd or copy paste something or during playing games a blue screen comes saying physical dump of memory?plzzzzzzzz anyone give me solution.

There seems to be a memory problem on your PC, you might need to replace your memory modules, please check if you have low latency memory since that type of memory needs a voltage adjustment made in the motherboard startup Bios to work correctly.

But first you can try opening windows CONTROL PANEL / SYSTEM look at the ADVANCED tab and click on the SETTINGS button at the STARTUP and RECOVERY section, a new window will pop up and select (NONE) at the WRITE DEBUGGING section in that window. And see if it gets better, if not try deselecting the 3 options above this write debugging section. All this is safe to do, if it works it works, if it doesn't nothing happens.
