I recently bought a this board from a friend and have since loaded an O.S. on it twice and changed out the HD to try and fix this problem. My keyboard and mouse stop working...or the machine freezes either way I cant do anything on my computer. The mouse light is still on and and the caps light or the Num Lock light, whatever was on from when I was using it is still lit, but I cant get any response out of either of them. I then have to restart the computer, and from there it works fine. I have only had this happen one time while I was using the PC, every other time it happens when I'm sleeping and cant use it when I wake up. This happens every time it is powered on. Please help in anyway....thanks!

Re: I believe its my board....can you help please!!
Have you tried cleaning up your machine? try your sys tools, free up space, see if it needs to be defragmented, then try a freeware registry cleaner like Abexo. Sometimes so much garbage accumulates in the registry that the machine freezes and does other wierd things.

I could be a couple of things. If it is not loading correctly More than likely something to do with memory either motherboard ram or video ram. try a live boot cd and see if it loads like hirams boot cd with live windows. it is free. also you can the motherboard and ram and hard drive the the live cd to pinpoint hardware problems. just a thought. good luck.
Now you cant Connect to Broad Band(Ethernet Controller not Properly Installed)
Display Driver Not Properly installed
You have to ask Motherboard CD from Your Friend. That will solve your Problem. And Manually install From CD
OR Try here
You have to specify Exact model number of Ethernet Controller Device/Mother Board Name(It will be on Board)
Is this hElped You...
Thanks for using FixYa
without the drivers on the motherboard cd ur sound and other hardware will not work. if u can connect to the internet u should be able to download the drivers, else u have to settle for no sound or change the motherboard
Yes you can change to any operating systems at any time. You can change to linux's earlier versions or later versions, or you can change to windows wp/vista/me/98/95. When you buy a computer it comes with an operating system, However you can change it to whichever operating system you want. all you will need to do is purchase whatever operating system you want, it will come with installation disks, pop one in restart your computer and it will walk you threw installing it. ( I have done this with XP & Vista, I am assuming Linux is the same.)
I believe you have a driver conflict Check your BIOS is set for CPU etc. And Uninstall all drivers And see if computer start with only the windows drivers present. As if you have just installed windows and no M/board drivers. And reinstall M/board drivers one at a time Should fix your problem
M/Boards support all makes of hard drive Are you sure you connected it correctly The wide ribbon cable that goes in the rear of hard drive should 1) Be connected to M/board in the No 1 connector with the stripe on cable to the No 1 pin 2) the stripe on cable should go next to the 4 pin power plug on hard drive Also ensure your BIOS is set to Auto detect of driives
