Question about Brother DCP-110C All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

DCP-110C Hey. Even though all the cartridges have been changed, my printer still says there is no cyan cartridge. I have tried reloading it several times and put in a new one. I've wiggled it-I've tried everything! Please help-thank you:)

My printer does the same thing but it seem to rotate from cyan to magenta etc, to saying there is no cartridge in the machine. This is not a problem but a malfunction with the brother machines. Apprently there are a set of numbers you can program into the machine to think it is new which will over ride all these other problems. The problem is, is there anyone honest enough to give all us these numbers to correct our machines and keep them {brother} in business? Otherwise I will NEVER touch another brother machine again. I have two I'm about to throw out.

Print with my black cartridge ONLY

The only way is to set Grayscale Printing in the Printer Properties for DCP 110C.

I myself prints black only using this printer. Doing the above setting will minimize ( not prevent ) the usage of colour inks.

But take note that the colour ink will deplete itself matter of time.

Black ink cartridge doesn't work.

Have you tried
  1. Taking out all the cartridges
  2. Power down the power
  3. Power up the printer
  4. Open the scanner Cover
  5. Close the scanner cover
  6. Message will ask you to put the ink.
  7. Put in Black
  8. Close scanner cover
  9. It may ask you whether the Black is being changed.
  10. Open the cover.
  11. Install Cyan.
  12. Repeat step 8-10 for the rest of the 2 colours.
  13. It should resolve the Black ink empty message.
Let us know if this works.

Thank you.

Why does my machine's LCD show "NO CARTRIDGE" even though I have already installed all the ink cartridges?
Description:
If the message "NO CARTRIDGE" remains on the LCD after you have installed the ink cartridges, then one or more of the cartridges may not be properly installed. Verify that the cartridges are installed correctly by following these steps:

Note
Cartridges that have already been installed are no longer vacuum-sealed, so it is very important that these cartridges remain upright. If a cartridge is removed from the machine and placed on its side, air may be introduced into the ink supply tubes. As a result, repeated cleaning will likely be required before normal print quality is restored.

  1. Unplug the machine from the AC power outlet, wait approximately 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
If the date and time appear on the display, the issue is resolved. If the display continues to show NO CARTRIDGE, continues to Step 2.

  2. Open the scanner cover by lifting it from the right-hand side until it locks securely into the open position.

  3. Remove the black ink cartridge by pulling the white plastic hook (locked over the edge of the ink cartridge) toward you, then lifting the cartridge out.

  4. The LCD should prompt you to install the black ink cartridge.

  5. Reinstall the black cartridge. Press down FIRMLY on the top of the cartridge until it is fully seated. Push the white plastic hook towards the cartridge to verify it is fully latched over the cartridge's top edge. Repeat STEPS 2 - 4 to verify each that of the color cartridges (magenta, cyan and yellow) is installed properly, then continue to STEP.

  6. Close the scanner cover. The unit should begin cleaning automatically.
