Canon S520 Printer

I have tried everything to print. Uninstalled, reinstalled CD for Canon S520.
Still have 7 blinking orange lights and one green. Can't see any paper jam.
Have all new ink cart's. took them out, put back in. Turned printer off and on, etc.

I tried taking the cartridges out and replace them. Paper is in the right tray.
    Is there another solution?

Do the printer heads move out of home potion. Do the move into the middle to replace the cartridges? How about this, do you have paper in the right tray? Need a little more info on problem

Try powering it down for a couple of hours for a full reset.

this can be done by disconnecting from the power completely. I would suggest that you remove and reinsert your new cartridges, and do a deep clean from the pritners menu. Other than that, i could only suggest getting the latest version of the driver and again try to reinstall it.

all things you have done... no Joy from there suggests a problem internally with the printer... and these days, they are not really worth repair. Maybe you can get a new machine that uses the same ink cartridges... worth a try to save that much at least.

Canon S300 printer. 7 orange blinks, 1 green. I

According to the manual found here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=330&modelid=6609

7 orange lights represents a bad print head, and the printer will need serviced or replacement. Since printers are so cheap lately, I would just go shopping. Hope this helps! Thanks!

Canon S520 printer won't print

there is a encoder strip in the printer to which the cartridge head carriage reads .if this encoder strip is dusty or loose the carriage cannot read so it bangs from left to right.and due to this printer cannot get set to its position.and the orange error light blinks.that transperant long strip with blacl vertical lines on it has to be checked.

I had the same problem. tried resetting the "waste ink tank" counter and it didn't work. I ended up taking out the printhead (pull up on the Grey lever) when I put it back in the printer worked! Good Luck!

Canon s520 problem

I solve mine (4 Yellow Flash + 1 Green) by pushing on the white gear, located at the end right inside, where the cartridges are cleaning. This help the movement of the gear, it was stuck or gem. Do this when you just turning on the printer, then you ear the cycle noise, Your fingers will sense the movement of the gear. Tips: Push the cartridges block to the left to let you enough space to put your hand inside. Now it work normally.

HELP!

hi, the blinking is caused by a fault in the printer, means it needs to be serviced, its usually more expensive for them to fix it than buying a new one, but you can get there number off the canon website.

Happy New Year

My canon s520

The user guide for that product says that 7 flashes means the printhead is defective and that you should contact Canon's customer care. If you've recently replaced the print cartridge(s), try putting the old one(s) back in. If the printhead is truly defective, there may be no choice but to contact Canon or replace the printer.
