How do you change the dryer door from a left to right opening to a right to left opening. Thid is a series 90 kenmore

You should be able to see it is right on the front it divides the dryer in two right below the door.

the door switch is located inside the door on top left or top right of the dryer, if it is one of the newer 70 series dryer it will be on the inside bottom towards the middle

Could be a defective door latch.
Could be an over-loaded dryer.
If you are not over loading,then replace the door latch.
Cost about 5 bucks.

If the dryer stops at the end of the cycle or when you turn the dial to off,
The door switch has gone bad.
If it does not stop at the end of the cycle the timer has gone bad.

check the door switch and also check the belt,if the belt breaks there is a switch inside that turns the dryer off

Sounds like you need a new dryer door latch and catch. Very inexpensive and easy to change.

is it gas ? next time open dryer door and send full model number if it heats for a while you have bad gas coils,when you change them out watch out for the coil with three prongs on it,there is a metal piece that sometime gets stuck in old coil when you remove it,if it happens just poke it out of old coil and slide it back on post where new coil will be installed

The door switch or actuator is broken. A common problem. On most Kenmore dryers this is replace by lifting the top. Since you haven't given the whole model number I will discuss raising the top on the most common model.

If your model has a lint filter at the top the slide show below should show you how to raise the top.

Kenmore Dryer

Disconnect power to unit. Lift the cover from the lint filter or if yours is the one with a filter and cover together, remove the whole filter. You will see 2 screws under the cover/filter, remove them. Now, you will need a putty knife or a thin shafted straight screw driver to remove the top panel. Push the putty knife or screw driver to "pop" the front top clips. The top panel will hinge back towards the wall and can be left there. Just inside the top of the front panel, you will see 2 screws, remove them. You will see the wires for the door switch on the right side. *** the top of the front panel toward you to gain access to the switch for replacement.

Reverse process for reassembly. Good Luck
