Question about Televison & Video
I have a Philips Model CCZ192AT32 television. The VCR part has been removed but when I watch TV it keeps turning off after 5-10sec. What do I need to do to fix this?
Ok this is a VCR/DVD Combination TV. First of all let's look at what your description says: "The VCR part has been removed" dou you mean that the VCR mechanism has been taken out or do you mean that the VCR mechanism was removed and then put back in? The reason I ask is because on the VCR circuit board there is a position sensor which senses the position of the gears on the VCR mechanism, when the gears are positioned in a certain way the sensor tells the power supply to remain on, however if there is a misalignment the set shuts down. This is what is happening in your case. If the VCR mechanism was moved and then replaced, make sure that the sensor and gear are aligned properly. the protrusion on the sensor should go into the grove on the gear and the middle of the gear should go into the middle of the sensor. This will allow the sensor to track the gear and take care of that cutting off problem.
I hope this helps,
