Vacuum brush not turning on Bissell

Vacuum motor is on but brush will not spin when the grey button is engaged. I have no idea what could be the problem. Any thoughts?

Wish you had posted the model number, but it could be a broken belt and/or brush roll. Some of the Bissells had a separate brsuh roll motor which may be bad.
