Font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} Hello and thanks for contacting FixYa Technical Support.

When it comes to setting up Mac OS X Mail with your BSNL
email account, because it is not a US based email account, Apple has specified that the Mac OS X Mail application will only support US-based emails. This more than likely will explain why you are unable to configure Mac OS X Mail with your email account.

I have provided the link below from Apple detailing this information.

If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to reply back to this post.

I used my apple id to set up my guys iMacs now my mail goes to his computer and mine.if i delete my mail account off his iMac, will it delete my mail too on my devices .

No. You can remove it from his Mac and sign in on another computer and the account will still be there. It's best to go to incognito mode when you sign your Gmail account into another computer. It will not keep your account in the computer. Be careful and never sign in to another computer when you travel unless you use the incognito mode. Google incognito and it will show you how to use it.

Why does my new iMac not recognize my gmail account?

John you may need to go into your "settings" on your iMac and configure your gmail account there.

look for the Settings icon on your workspace
click and look for Mail
Open mail and you should see Accounts and further down a choice to "add account"
Then choose which mail application you want to use, Google mail, yahoo, etc.
open google or gmail and type in your info.
These settings should get you started to use your gmail.

Give it a try.

I have e-mail account with Yahoo mail!india. Is it possible for me know whether my mail a/c has been accessed from the usa also as i know somebody who has idea about my yahoo mail password!

Yes it is possible for you to access your yahoo mail in USA. But nobody knows your yahoo password. I forgot your password there is a link on the yahoo log in that you can click to get or reset your password in order for you to use your yahoo mail again.

If your are worried about other people who will access your account, then change your password and security question and answer at least 1s a month.

We are using mac os x 10.3.9, using mail we can see our sent mail but can't open it. The message says we have to take the account online to view. We have tried a rebuild and that deleted all the existing...

Connection Doctor would help here, but unfortunately Apple did not add this feature until 10.4. :-(
If I understand your problem correctly, you can send mail successfully, but trying later to access those messages in your Sent mailbox results in this error message. If you are using an IMAP account, you may need to visit Preferences / Accounts / Mailbox Behaviors and uncheck the box for "Store sent messages on the server." If you are using a POP account, it's possible the mailbox (or a Mail preference file) is simply corrupt and will need to be deleted and recreated. Unfortunately, the Panther and Tiger mail systems are known to be susceptible to certain types of corruption.

Trying many times!

Your account is locked when someone enters an incorrect login multiple times (usually around 30). Yahoo! locks the account for "security reasons" and you are unable to access your chat names. Cool thing is, these are a piece of cake to unlock. All you need is a list of Yahoo! servers to log in with. Every time you login, you are using what's called a server to access Yahoo! You login with a cookie, which is sort of like an information packet or ID proving that you are who you claim to be, and the account is yours.

When people attempt to log your name in multiple times with a locking tool, all they are doing is logging in over and over with an incorrect password until your cookie expires, which means you will no longer be allowed to login. So, when you find yourself locked, what you need to do is refresh your cookie. But how can you do that when the Yahoo! server you were using has blocked you?

Simple, find another server. Yahoo! has servers all over the place. There are more than I'd care to count. I'll include a pretty decent sized list with this tutorial. All you have to do is paste one of these servers in your browser and log in on the page you see. Unless you have been locked on that server as well, you will receive a fresh cookie and will be able to log in to Yahoo! Messenger again.

Tons of people try to go through their e-mail and login there to unlock an account, but a smart locker will shut down your mail server first, then cut off your chat server. Most people don't know what to do if the e-mail is blocked, so they give up trying. That's why I don't even bother with the e-mail method. I simply pick another server, log in, and I'm good to go. There are so many servers out there that it is impossible to lock them all. Even if they could, the lock is only for about 12 hours, and then you're back in business.

Some Yahoo Servers :

http://cn.mail.yahoo.com/?id=77070 <--- China

http://edit.india.yahoo.com/config/mail?... <--- India

http://edit.europe.yahoo.com/config/mail... <--- Europe/U.K.

http://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl... <--- Canada

http://my.yahoo.co.jp/ <--- Japan

http://login.yahoo.com/config/login <--- USA
