What is it you are trying to do? If you are trying to reinstall the operating system, you can do that by booting from the Windows install CD. It will give you the option of reformatting and reinstalling.

Enter the first recovery cd, and choose the option to format the hard drive and install a fresh copy of windows. Then enter the second recovery cd when it asks. It should have an option of formatting the drive when you put in the recovery cds. There is not that much that can go wrong, since you want to delete everything anyway. Hope that helps :).
Try to check the model numberfor your laptop,then go to goole search then go to Acer driver downlord using the model number it will give you the drivers u want for your computer.Let me know the results please.
