I cannot seem to get a driver for my CD Burner. It was there about 2
weeks ago and now when I use my Easy CD Creator or WMP, it says that I
do not have a supported recording device. When I go to the Manufacturers's website it just gives me an upgrade tool and the tool
will not work. As I try to register the PCRW404, and I input ANY number
that is on the device, it tells me that it is invalid. Therefore I
cannot register the product with the manufacturer. It is a Philips
PCRW404. Any suggestions?

Track creator sometimes mark tracks as copyrighted and CD duplicators have spl chip through which they sense copyrighted materials and do not allow to copy. It seems you are trying to copy some copyrighted tracks.
This would be Known As A conflict, ( With I.Player )
Why Don,t you try installing Another CD Burning Program. Neros Not The Only One.
Try Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator, Or Look On The Internet For Burner Software For Download.
Also Winamp can burn CD's (www.winamp.com/download)
As per your specific issue i'd need to know where you are attempting to download the file from. A lot of times manufacturer's websites post an incompatible version by mistake. This has happened to me on sony and dell's website. If you can tell me the exact version of easy cd creator i may be able to help more.
Just a suggestion, try to update your drivers.. If you have installed any third party cd burner just uninstalled it. after uninstalling, clean the registry via ccleaner, regcure, or any other 3rd party cleaner... then update your drivers... most of the 3rd party cd burner software are damaging your cd drivers...
wmp is not a very good choice for burning disks, try nero alcohol 120%, goo media center, or roxio easy dvd creator, when you say it won't recognize the drive what exactly is the issue, what errors do you see, they are there for a reason, they provide information that can potentially solve the problem for you, also what operating system and the brand/model of the burner would be useful in trouble shooting the problem.
