In all probability you need to have the convergence amplifiers replaced. A very common problem with all projection sets.

A little late responding, but is most likely a defective toner cartridge

Yes, the toner is not being cleaned off, you will need t change the roller, it can also cause jamming

there is a problem with tthe convergence section this is something a tech can do

Unplug the TV from the ac wall outlet for about 4 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. If it still has a double image then tell me if it's affecting the menu screen from the TV (not the cable menu). And is the double image in red and blue?
