If it does not attach easly its most likely the back of the key or the retainer hinge broke, you may want to inspect is closely to see if the legs or the back or the key is bent or broken. You could try to open the case and reattach te connectors going into the screen (reattach the other side of the cables as well). If that doesn't help, I'd return it to stoe, because yur screen, graphics card or motherboard is probably broken.
