Question about Dishwashers
I have a Miele Icognito G658 SCVi, and the drain/intake light is on. I have followed the instructions in the Manual and it not going off. Help needed.
This just happened to me (my hands are still dripping from cleaning out the water at the bottom of the tub). Frustrated because I had cleaned the filters, bailed out the water with a cup, yet the light was still flashing. I finally followed the troubleshooting guide in the operating manual and held down the start/stop button for 5 seconds, while the machine was on, which seemed to reset everything. Works fine now.

There is a small panel, behind the toe plate. You need to remove two screws, and the 5 inch metal plate comes off. Inside this there is a reservoir, that when it fills up with water, trips a float/switch. the float swithc is suposed to trigger the water pump to drain the reservoir. Then, the machine must dry out so the electronics un-trip themselves. You will see when you remove the plate. What I did was manually dry the reservoir with paper towels - this seems to fix the issue - problem is, where is the water coming from?????

This happened to me and I noticed there was about 4 inches of dirty water that hadn't drained from the dishwasher. I took out all of the water, cleaned the filters and then started the dishwasher again. It worked. Good Luck.

Water under the dishwasher could be from a leaking hose or loose hose connection. Check these by removing the bottom front panel. Also chec the seals for the heating element, door, main tub, float. You need to run the dishwasher at least every other day or the seals can dry out
