After replacing the tri-color cartridge, the printer worked for about ten pages and then keeps reporting, "Remove and check cartridge in right stall" even after it having checked and re-installed the cartridge.

Hello there:
This problem is usually due to a print head that needs to be replaced
I have provided the information that you will need ok

This document provides information on how to replace a printhead or ink cartridge.A printhead may need replacing when print quality issues cannot be resolved by cleaning the printheads or a front-panel display message indicates a printhead needs to be replaced. An ink cartridge needs replacing when a front-panel display message indicates either:

Hp officejet 5510 remove and check black cartridge message and i replaced the black to new one.

Hi Shaharz !

As per the information you have provided, I understand that you are receiving an error "Remove and check black ink cartridge" on the All-In-One display screen. If yes, perform the below steps.

Let me provide you the cause of the issue. The most cause of the issue is that if you are using refilled, re manufacture ink cartridges, cartridge is not fitting properly, wrong cartridge no. However, perform the below steps to resolve the issue.

1. Remove the print cartridges from the printer.
2. Clean the print cartridges using the lint free cloth both the cartridges heads as well as inside the printer.
3.Follow the steps below to power cycle your all-in-one:

a. Verify that the unit is switched on. Disconnect power cable from All-in-One and also from wall outlet.
b. Wait 30 seconds.
c. Plug in the power cable to All-in-One and also to wall outlet.

4. Insert only the black ink cartridge first and check the message on the printer.

If the issue is with the black ink cartridge then the same message will be appears on the printer. If not it will prompt you to insert the color ink cartridge.

Do the same procedure with the color ink cartridge.

If the issue persist, then it shows that the issue is with the black ink cartridge. check the expiry date of the print cartridges and try to replace it.

I believe the issue is with the printer itself. However, the printer using the HP 56 and 57 ink cartridges.

As you have mentioned that you have already replaced the black ink cartridge. Then it confirms that the issue is with the printer. However, you can try resetting of the printer to its default settings and check for the issue.

To reset the printer, perform the below steps.

A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.

Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.

2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.

The printer might be turned off after performing the above steps, so no need to worry about that.

Then turn on the printer and check for the result.

Hope this will helps you a lot!!!

With Regards
Mike.

ok the problem is very common.initially remove both the cartridges.then unplug the printer from main outlet and plug back in.this will reset the printer circuit.then after u on the printer bring back the cartridge carriage to cartridge installation position.then first clean the circuit in the carriage that touches and sense your cartridge circuit with a damp cloth.both colour and black carriage circuit.then clean the cartridge circuit too even if its new.then install both the cartridges and close the door and off the printer again and on it after 30 seconds atleast.then check it should work normally.

Message in LED is ''Remove and check color cartridge''

It means that the printer has detected a problem with the color cartridge. If it holds multicolors one could be empty & the cartridge must be replaced in order for it to work. Best advice would be to try a new cartridge and see if the error message goes away. Hope this helps.

Dell printer model# A940 50c error

Test your cartridges.

Remove the color ink cartridge then lower the cover of your printer. If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new one (or return the new one). Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge then lower the cover. If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new color cartridge.
Note: My manual indicated that the printer might have detected a short circuit in a cartridge. I returned a month old black cartridge got a new one and my printer is working fine now. Good luck.

The following error message appears on the color graphics display after you insert a cartridge: Remove and Check Print Cartridges . The printer will not print. The message does not specify which cartridge has caused the error. Solution This error message indicates that the printer cannot determine which cartridge is causing the error. Follow the steps below to solve the problem.
  1. Remove the color cartridge from the left stall (which has a blue latch) and refasten the latch. Leave the other cartridge in place.
  2. Close the printer, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then look at the LCD display.
    • If the LCD display reads Insert Color Cartridge in Left Stall , the color cartridge may be causing the problem. Follow the steps below:
      1. Clean the color cartridge contacts.
      2. Reinsert the color cartridge into the carriage and close the blue latch.
      3. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
      4. If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the color cartridge.

      3. Clean the black or photo cartridge contacts.
      4. Reinsert the black or photo cartridge.
      5. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
      6. If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the black or photo cartridge.

  1. Remove and then reinsert the cartridge indicated in the error message.
  2. If the error is still displayed, clean the contacts.
    1. If the error message is Error. Remove and Check Black or Photo Cartridge , the following steps may help:
    1. Remove both cartridges, lower the latches, and close the printer access door.
    2. Turn off the unit by pressing the On button on the front panel. Wait for the printer to completely shut down.
    3. Turn the printer back on by pressing the On button.
    4. When the message display reads Insert Print Cartridges , open the access door and replace the cartridges.

"remove and check cartridge" error message

    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?docname=buu02180&cc=in&lc=en&dlc=en

I resolved the "remove and check cartridge" issue after reading the instructions at the above address. Most importantly, I replaced both cartridges and the problem was resolved.
The color cartridge appeared to be the issue. It had been in for months and used infrequently.

HP G85 All says remove and check color cartridge and prints only green/blue color

This is a known issue on this machine. What I do is open the printer as if replacing the cartridge and allow the cartridge holder to move to the exchange position. Then I unplug the power cable from the back and close the printer again. Keeping your finger on the power button, plug in the power cable again. Keep the button pressed for about 10 seconds, allowing the error flag to reset. Switch on again and wait for the initialise to finsh. It sometimes takes another 5 minutes for the message to disappear but it should go eventually.

    Printer Cartridges

Since this is an all-in-one. It could be any of the following: A software glitch since these are software driven. Check HP for updates. A clogged nozzle on the cartridge- try cleaning the cartridge print nozzle with a foam tip swap or coffee filter soaked with ink jet cleaner or 90% isopropyl alcohol. Try a different cartridge. Try cleaning the contacts. Try using the HP image zone software. Go to Setup, Tools, and Clean print cartridge. Worst case scenario bad flex cable or board.
