My stereo keeps turning off when I listen to a station 101.5 in New Jersey

The only thing that can be is that you have set a timer "sleep" function for that station. I have looked at the manual and it states you can programme a sleep setting for a radio station.
The instructions are on page 12. But I have extracted them below:

1 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.

2 Press and hold the CLOCK/TIMER button.

3 Within 10 seconds, press the or button

to select "ONCE" or "DAILY", and press the MEMORY

button. Set the clock to the correct time if "ONCE" or

"DAILY" does not appear.

4 Within 10 seconds, press the or button to select

"ONCE SET" or "DAILY SET", and press the MEMORY

button.

5 To adjust the hour, press the or button and then

press the MEMORY button.

6 To adjust the minutes, press the or button and

then press the MEMORY button.

7 Set the time to fi nish as in steps 5 and 6 above.

8 To select the timer playback source (CD, TUNER, USB,

iPhone/iPod, TAPE or AUDIO IN), press the or

button. Press the MEMORY button.

When you select the tuner, select a station by pressing

the or button, and then press the MEMORY

button. If a station has not been programmed, "NO

PRESET" will be displayed and timer setting will be

canceled.

9 Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control, and then

press the MEMORY button. Do not turn the volume up

too high.

10 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to enter the power

stand-by mode. The "TIMER" indicator lights up and

the unit is ready for timer playback.

11 When the preset time is reached, playback will start.

The volume will increase gradually until it reaches the

preset volume. The "?" or "DAILY" indicator will blink

during timer playback.

12 When the timer end time is reached, the system will

enter the power stand-by mode automatically.

Once timer:

The timer will be canceled.

Daily timer:

The timer operates at the same time every day. It

will continue until the daily timer setting is canceled.
Cancel the daily timer when it is not in use.

Philips HTS3010 not powering on and the power button LED keeps blinking and and click sound from DVD while power Led blinks Help me on solving it.

Hi,Even your DVD is newer version but would you please try the following solution that I provided for someone else....It may help..Because ,when a capacitor in the power circuit board fails, power led blinks and tray sticks too..So take care.
--------
it is a common problem on Philips DVP 630/642/37 series DVD players..As Power problem..A blinking red power button urges you that there is a malfunctioning capacitor in the circuit board.

This is actually surprisingly easy to fix. but it needs soldering iron before.any attempt. Here are the steps .The decision to try this is up to your own discretion and may be a last ditch effort before throwing the player away.
Unplug and take the metal cover out (plenty screws on side and on the back): Check the board to see if capacitor numbered as "C316 "is bulging-/leaking. If so, get a 1000u capacitor >=16V and replace it..
If you cant do it find a handy man nearby you and ask him to do it..It takes just 10 minutes but you must obtain the capacitor from Radio Shack (2.00 USD) before you begin..

Take care and do not forget to rate me too..Thanks

Dryer timer wont advance

you will need to unplug unit and remove upper rear control panel cover behind the control your speaking of, then take a voltage meter if you have one and hook it to the two wires on the timer and plug dryer in,you should read 120volts a.c. power on the timer motor leads, if so timer motor is bad,if not check incoming power to dryer, its either one of these that you have lost

Help

Hi,

Take every single cable out of the unit, now power on the unit.

If the power protection still shows then there is an internal fault, usually a short or a component defect.

If it powers on ok, switch off and insert 1 speaker at a time and power on the unit until the protection mode comes on again, the last speaker you have put in has overloaded it for some reason, also as you are trying each speaker use the volume and bass controls to see if there is an internal overload.

Thats as much as I can offer you until you narrow the fault down to the unit or one of the speakers.

Cheers

  1. With the home theater system off, press and hold the REMAIN button on the home theater's remote control for 5 seconds.
Note: You can release the REMAIN button when the POWER LED blinks blue/Red depending on model.
  2. With the SWA-3000 turned on, use a ball point pen to press the RESET button on the back of the SWA-3000. The POWER LED in the front of the home theater blinks two times.
