No! The TV won't come on at all. I opened up the rear panel and blew the dust off thinking that will help,But it didn't.

The fuse itself says 250V, numbers stamped on board next to fuses are 1000, 1004, 1300, I cant tell if there blown. The fuses are made in white frost glass, There are three of them!

  • Spytech Mar 05, 2008

This is spytech, I replaced the fuses and the TV turned on but quickly shut off. It seems like something is shorting out the fuses. I tested the first fuse next to the plug,Ohm reading is 1 instead of 000.

You have a power supply problem. What is the chassis number of your set? Let me know the chassis and I may be able to help you out.

The Tv is going into protective shutdown due to a power supply problem . Do you get an error code with the LED blinking 2 times then pausing a second then flashing again? If so that chassis is famous for the SSM board failing thats a small board on the right side of the set that plugs into a simm socket.

Were any of the fuses blown? If so what were the number stamped on the board next to the fuse?

you will need to check the fuses as by changing them a second one has blown thats why the set tried once but now will not. You will need an ohms meter to check them as well as check the other items later after we verify that the fuses are good or bad.

Why does the power button blink on and off and the TV doesn't turn on?

There may be an open internal fuse or the power supply may have failed.

CRT fluid for Philips 60PL92000D

  • dEAR sIR:

Turn on the TV set, bring up the convergence menu and make sure the three colors--red, green and blue--converge and overlap at the cross in the center of the screen. This is needed to help converge the TV later. Turn off and unplug the TV.

  • 2

Remove the front screen by popping off the bezel and pulling the three combined screens out. Place wide cellophane tape around the frame to prevent the three screens from separating. Lay the screen someplace where it won't be bent or scratched.

  • 3

Remove the circuit board from the bottom of the CRT neck. It may be held in place by one screw or glued in place with silicon. Pull it out without twisting it.

  • 4

Disconnect the large red wire from the high voltage transformer by grasping it with a large side cutter and rocking it from side to side to lift up the fastener. Disconnect the two bundles of wires from the main circuit board and leave them hanging from the CRT.

  • 5

Remove the ground connectors by releasing their tabs with a narrow screwdriver.

  • 6

Remove the CRT assembly from the TV by removing its four flat-bladed screws and pulling it out of the TV. Lay the CRT down with its filler plug facing up in a location far away from the TV's circuit boards.

does the power light flash three times slowly then stay off? If so chances are its just the CP150, cp120 and CP114 capacitors. There is the RCA repair kit by that same name available from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the capacitors and the CD with repair instructions

Front panel buttons on Philips rear projection do random things

Leaky tact switches on control panel. Part number is 242212802742. Takes 6. They will cost you around 6.00 a piece. Lower front panel pulls off. Be careful as there are two cables attached to htis panel. This should take care of your issues.

You have no high voltage, like many in this forum, this model of Philips has some of the same problems. Look around here you may find the answer to your set. If not check Vertical IC, TDA8177, audio ic on signal board up front on left. check Power supply first for blown fuse, 1000, 2004, 1300, 1900 etc. No sound or pic means something is open. Does set has L E D lights on front of set?

Turning on SD-P403 Pioneer projection tv

Take off back cover. The problem power board is to the right of the board where the power plug feeds into the TV. There is a large white fuse right bend the power plug. With a meter it read ok; about 8 inches deeper into the TV on that board was the resister next to two fuses. My 4 amp 125 volt fuse did not read on my meter. After replacing, it worked fine.
