Question about Toshiba Tecra A4 Notebook

1 Answer

Not Rebooting My computer froze while on the internet and I had to force it to shut down. When I try to reboot the computer it comes up on a black screen and a lot of techno-words, like DOS show up, saying that it is trying to reboot or recover a filename (I'm sorry, I'm not really good with technology), but then it says no record found and press any key to continue. When I press a key to continue, it just does the same thing all over again.

Gateway MT6840 unexpectedly shut down and wouldn't

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

Try removing the player from your laptop and rebooting without it. Shut it down and put the player back in then restart again. That should force windows to reinstall it. If it's not seen when rebooting the device is probably bad.

as the computer is booting tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the startup menu which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode With Networking " and press your Enter key.

Cannot start Sony VAIO PCG-5J2L /Goes to black screen only

During start-up the computer will go to a black screen for awhile and then the pointer arrow will show alone, and then the system will come up.

If you think it's a hibernation problem, pull the ac plug and battery out for about 1 hour and then plug back in.

If this didn't work, then try the F8 Key and choose "Last Know Good Configuration".

My computer won't shut down it just keeps restarting

The most common shut down problem is that the system will reboot rather than shutting down. In most cases, the reboot is triggered because Windows XP is designed to reboot after a critical failure. To stop windows from rebooting in case of a failure, you need to take the following steps:
Right click on My Computer, Select Properties, Click on advance tab, Click on Settings under Startup and Recovery, Uncheck the option Automatically Restart under System failure, Click Ok twice and try to shutdown the pc. If it shows any error code then let me know

Iam having problem with my Compaq nx5000 it keeps on rebooting.

Seems like a computer virus or spyware have done something nasty on your system, try to run WIndows in Safe Mode and check if the problem will stop. You may also want to check the link below if it applies to your computer's ongoing problem.

Sound you got a virus that corrupted a certain file in your Windows operating system. Try googling with a descriptive computer keep rebooting or something similar. Basically you need to replace that corrupted file and there are hints in the Internet on how to do this.
