Question about Sony KDF-E55A20 55 in. LCD Television
In my experience with these models, if have found that your fault could be due to a blown bulb assembly. This can easily be checked by looking up the bulb replacement procedure in the user manual. The bulb should look clear and see-through to the tip of the filament. There must be a small class pipe inside which has a wire connected to the tip.
Any white residue or black discoloration inside the bulb indicates a blown bulb. You can contact your nearest Sony service centre for a new replacement bulb. Write down the "XL-xxxx " number as you will have much faster result than giving the model number.
