LT32HVE only in black and white with component inputs...definitely the proper red is plugged in because we swapped it just in case and it did not change the problem. Also when trying to bring up the menu...

On component inputs the color is carried by the green connection. I would check your green cable. It also carries the video which you seem to have. Since the menu comes up black and white also does it do this in composite also? If it does it is most likely your main board. If your green blue and red cables are ok and you still have black and white it is also most likely your main board. Component uses digital portion of main board. Composite does not

My GE 35GT695 has lost color and will only show in black & white. However, when I press the menu button the menu shows in color while the screen is still black & white.

the on screen graphics are sourced from red, green ,blue drives,..your fault is with the colour decoder .sorry it is a repair that needs a expert engineer ..it could be dry jointed to test for dry joints try tapping the back cover or bottom of the set ..good luck farr64[colin]

I was just given this t.v because friends couldn't figure out what is wrong with itl. The colors don't line up right, looks kinda blurry depending on the lighting of the program being watched. How do i fix...

According to the manual:
1) go to the "TV Main Menu"
2) Select "Screen"
3) Select Adjust Projection TV (obviously only if a projection TV).
This then allows you to adjust the TV's 3-colors. Selecting GREEN CENTERING brings up a control panel that lets you center the green projection tube on the screen. Selecting RED CONVERGENCE or BLUE CONVERGENCE lets you align the Red & Blue projector tubes. Centre the green projector tube 1st. Then adjust the red & blue until the test pattern on the TV screen appers white.
Good Luck!

Black and white

Your not getting color probably because of a weak "air" signal. The fix is a better antenna or an antenna booster.

Dvd only playing in black and white

Make sure that you connect all of these connections to the right colored cables.

It seems like you only have the green cable connected. Go back and connect the red and blue for both the tv and dvd.

No blue auto convergence when performed by menu buttons

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded over.

Black and white picture

Try going into player's menu, and set video out or TV type to NTSC.
It might have switched to PAL, or disc is PAL and player is set to any.
