Sideburner for Thermos Stainless Steel Gas Grill (Mod # 461262006)

Sideburner inop. Ignites at lowest setting (with ignitor or match) but makes some kind of "garggley" noise. When I turn knob for a higher setting it then goes to a rapid fire "poof, poof, poof" sound, then goes out. Connections appear to be tight.

It sounds like the orifice is bad. An orifice is a small metal part that has a small hole in it. This regulates the gas coming out to the burner. It is at the tip of the pipe that brings gas to the burners, before the flame. I don't know what the hell the garggley noise is. Unless the bottle is upside down, and you are getting liquid, I don't know.

How do I replace ignitor switch in thermos gas grill, if this is what is what I saw?

If that white is ceramic, I think it is the actual ignitor, not the switch.

I WANT TO SWITCH TO NATURAL GAS BUT THE MODEL NUMBER IS WARN OFF

You can search the web until you find a picture of your grill, that will get you close. If the serial number is still visible, that should also be helpful.

Replace ignitor on Thermos BBQ

You have to remove the front panel but It's not too hard. Remove the left and right side trays, about 4-5 screws each. Front panel will then come off readily. Detach the electrode wires from ignitor box first. Wear old clothes and gloves.

My grill has 5 burners. When I turn on more than 3 the flames get very low even though it is set to high. I have to shut off all burners and restart them to fix it, but I still cannot turn on more than 3....

Your problem is that your regulator is not letting enough fuel through it. If you replace it make sure that you match the numbers up to the new one so it is sized correctly. If you need more help please comment me back thanks.

Hope this helps you

Thermos Gas Grill

This is caused by a bad regulator. This is the silver device that usually attaches directly to your tank. Most hardware stores carry these regulators you will need the numbers off it to match up a new regulator for size.
