RCA 3-Device - Somehow I hit a button and the sound tuned off on all of the channels except 2. I tried to go through the menu button etc. but can't seem to get the sound back on. The menue button won't let the arrows navigate.
You have turned on SAP sound. Switch your MTS TV sound back to main or standard or Stereo. OK is used to choose your selection once you 'highlight' it with the arrow keys. If you are having menu issues, unplug the TV for ten seconds, plug it back in and try the menu again. (you may have to reset your channels)

Hi, This sounds like it is not a problem with the remote, but more like the channels have been "skipped" in the tuning menu of your TV.
To Fix, enter the tuning menu on your TV and set the "skip" or "clear" to OFF for all the channels you want to watch, then the program+ & - buttons should then work for you
1. Connect the Cable Box via RCA cables (Yellow/Red/White) or Component cable if you have a HD cable box and select the appropriate input on the TV to view your programs. This will provide the best picture quality as well.
2. Make sure the cable box is on. Using the original TV remote type in the channel 03 and if this tunes to the channel then go to the TV menu and then go to Set up and then select add/erase and select add.
If typing 03 did not tune in channel 3 then using the TV remote select menu then go to set up and then make sure TV / Cable is set to cable then on the cable box press the channel button a couple of times and then select auto program on the tv.
I had the same problem... try toggling through the "SAP" (multilingual audio feeds) for the channel. Mine was somehow set on "audio 3 of 3" for that channel, but there were only 2 audio feeds.
l. Push the "Menu button" 2. Push the "Menu button" again 3. Scroll to "Setup" and push "OK" 4. Scroll to "Guide setup" and push "OK" 5. Scroll to"No Auto Tune" 6. Click on arrow next to "No Auto Tune". This will change it to "Auto Tune". 7. Now exit, or just punch in any channel number.
You should now be able to go directly to a channel without entering zeros.
When my Menu did not come up, I found it on the AUX channel (one below channel 3). I was able to go through the set up, but found only one digital channel available. Hope this helps!

RESTORE SETTING If you reset the TV to the factory settings, all your present settings on picture & sound will be erased and replaced by the factory’s default settings. However, picture setting in PC mode and parental setting will not be erased.
Can you punch in the channel numbers directly to go to the channels, but just not tune to them with the Channel Up/Down buttons? If so then try tapping the favorite button on the remote until the screen shows "favorite mode off". This mode likes to stay [or perhaps turn] on when you scan for channels, but scanning clears everything in the favorite list except for the channel you are on when you start the scan (so it seems), thus leaving only one or two channels showing up. (This happens whenever I re-scan for digitals.) To pick out favorite channels, go into the channel menu in the tv menu and with "Favorite: Analog" or "Digital" highlighted near the top, hit OK on the remote to toggle favorite status.
you start with tv,dvd mode to your remote control when you have alread make sure your in tuner you hit menu mode and show you the instruction select arrow shows _ + try it.
