I have connected the head unit as I believe to be correct from following the very vague intructions on Blaupunkt.com but now no sound. The power comes on as it should but no speaker sound. It is installed in a 1998 Ford Explorer. Any ideas? I have re-installed the OEM unit and it works fine. ???
MGBGT- This is a fairly common problem, you ford has a built in amplifier, there is a wire that needs to be hooked up.If you used an after market adaptor, this wire should be marked and needs to be hooked to the remote turn on lead of the deck.Let me know if you need help. cooltek Mar,4/08

Unfortunately it may be time for a new deck (stacker). You can try pulling the deck head out and removing the power for 10 minutes or so and re-connecting the power and this sometimes will buy you some time. Now a while back Blaupunkt was offering a free replacement for some of these units so it might be worth contacting the Blaupunkt web page for your country (where ever that be) http://www.blaupunkt.de/index.php?id=537&L=1 and see if the are still honoring warranties on them. In the end it may very well be time to replace your unit. This is a very common problem for Blaupunkt.
Your request is somewhat vague but most printers can be installed by 1st: Using the software can came with the printer onto your pc. 2nd: Power off your pc and connect your printer using the paralle cable or the usb cable. 3rd: power your pc and printer on and follow on screen intructions (if any)
Thats an amplifier, not a head unit. The point of that is to power the speakers. The output on the head unit plugs into this, and the speakers plug into this. You tune the station on the head unit in the dashboard
I am sure you must have followed the manual (http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=2&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blaupunkt.com%2Fus%2Fdownload%2FInstall_IVDM7002.pdf&ei=9Gl8SqvsDsz-kAW6v6DqAg&usg=AFQjCNE0l78Mhn5aCMBLgKvIiDL1kzLZZA&sig2=NutBRfrwRxktHq4yMQ6Ycw : is where I downloaded the user installation guide and some aspects while reading it & your description/procedure rang a bell while going thru the precautions mentioned therein, and are:--
DO NOT connect any speaker wires to the metal body or chassis of the vehicle. • DO NOT connect the speaker common (-) wires to each other. • Connect each speaker wire directly to each speaker terminal. • All speaker common (-) wires must remain floating. ie - no common connections or connection to vehicle ground. • Connect each pair of speaker leads only to a single speaker (or speaker system) that has an impedance of at least 4 ohms, as well as a 50-watt power-handling capability. • DO NOT connect speaker leads to any inputs on external amplifiers. This will cause damage to the internal amplifier of this unit.
Somewhere here there is note which is jarring my sixth sense. Hope you will be able to catch the drift and find out where you went wrong....................................sodeep
After incorrectly entering the code 3 times, the unit locks for 60 minutes. To clear it, leave it connected to the head unit and the radio switched on for an hour. After that, switch the radio off, disconnect and reconnect the cd changer, and enter the correct code.
