Most car seats have elastic loops that hook to certain areas on the back around the top, bottom and sides. Some have plastic pins that will come out with a pop and snap back in.

As far as reassembly goes I just put every loop, clip and pin back in as I pull it out to familiarize myself with where it came from.

How do you wash an infant carseat

first you will need to remove the liner of the carseat, you will have to carefully remove the small harnesses from the fabric but as you do so label the back with a sharpie or draw a diagram so you know how to get it back on!
wash the fabric on COLD only and dry on very LOW heat to prevent SHRINKING because it will be hard to put it back on if it shrinks!
wipe the seat with a dishcloth of soap and water, do not use harsh chemicals on the carseat itself as even if you let it air dry the chemical smell or any residue could make your child sick.

Washed liner, need to know how to put car seat back together

HI, I tried to research for you and find the manual. I typed in the info you provided at the safety1st.com website. This was the reply I got: Thank you for contacting Dorel Juvenile Group. At this time we do not have your instruction manual available for download. Please contact Consumer Relations by email at consumer@djgusa.com, by fax at 1-800-207-8182, or by phone at 1-800-544-1108 and your instruction manual will be sent to you. HOpe fully you can get the help you need from the associates there. :)
P.s. As a mother of 4 I feel compelled to mention to you the following, as I am sure you are unaware of it. Please keep in mind I am not trying to be rude at all, just want to help you be aware of some startling facts. I am a big 2nd hand buyer when it comes to most all things baby and kids. You can truely get a bargain on things this way. However, the one definate thing you shouldn't buy is a car seat. And the reasons are due to the 3 yr rule (they always recommend you not use a seat more than 3 yrs old as they are always inventing safer ones) and you simply don't know 100% if this seat has never been involved in an accident! When seats are involved in an accident, it shifts things and makes the seat unreliable in it's security to properly protect your child. They always recommend replacing a seat after you have been involved in an accident yourself due to this. Good luck to you putting the seat back together! They aren't easy that is for sure!! :)

I need to know how to take the liner out of the baby car seat so I can wash it.

You have to unlatch the shoulder straps from underneath then unscrew the side handle to remove the elastic. Then your able to completely remove the cover. Just pay attention, because getting if off is the easy part, putting it back can proove difficult. Good Luck!

REMOVE CAR SEAT LINER

Most car seats have plastic clips around the edges that will come off. if you work around all the edges you can eventually get it off. The straps can be difficult to remove. Just pay close attention to how they came apart. Take pictures if you have to. They are a paint to put back if you don't.

Hope this helps,
XP
