My laptop runs very slow on Mains power, but runs fine and fast on battery???? (Acer Aspire 5535) This only started approx 2 months ago. Tried all the usual clean ups, registry ect, but didd not help. Is there a problem with my charger? or is the problem in my power circuitry on the motherboard.

Have you checked the power plan settings? This is usually accessed by a battery/plug icon on bottom right of the screeen, if not then on the control panel.

right click on the icon and select power options. This gives you options for balanced, high performance or power saver. Clicling on change settings allows you to set CPU performance for mains and battery for each power setting.

for instance I usually use the balanced setting with a fast CPU when using mains and slower (to conserve battery power ) on battery.

Acer aspire 5535 is dead no lights no power nothing

Try removing the battery and running just on mains power. If that doesn't work, it sounds like the motherboard has failed and will need replacing.

My acer aspire 5535, amd turion x2battery runs out faster than it used to

The battery starts a slow decline over months and years, eventually you will notice the time between charges gets less and less until you are down to minutes, this quite normal for these batteries. The average life span is one to three years for most batteries before replacement is required.

Mmm i not know what to ask...my acer 5535 is very slow...i have restored to factory default and still slow

If it was fast check that a Ram Chip has not died on you, if it's always been slow put more Ram in it.

Laptop shuts down

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Remove the battery.
Purchase a can of compressed-air, and give your computer a "blow-job", to remove the dust, because the dust is acting as a layer of insulation, trapping heat inside your computer.

Reload the battery.
Connect the AC power.
Start your laptop, and check that the fans inside the notebook computer are pushing air out of the exhaust-vents. If not, the fan(s) have failed, and you need a professional computer technician to disassemble your computer, and fix the fans.

Acer Aspire 5738Z won't hold charge

Sorry. It seems that your battery is dead.
If your laptop is working fine on AC power only (with the battery disconnected), then your battery will need to be replaced.

Acer aspire 5633wlmi turns itself off

First make sure the fan is running and it's not shutting down from over heating.
If the fan is fine,(Links provided)
You need to run a virus scan with something like Spybot seach and destroy
Also run a registry cleaner like Regscrub xp
And a junk file cleaner such as CCleaner

If you still have the issue you need to Update your video card (The driver messes up after some windows updates for some reason)

Laptop Mousepad and Keyboard stuttering, slow

This may be a battery power monitor issue. Try disabling the "Mircosoft ACPI- Compliant Control Method Battery" device. This is located in Control Panel-->System-->Hardware Tab-->Device Manager-->Batteries. Had similar problem with 2 Acer Aspire series laptops (diff models). 2 and 3 year old. Original batteries (both still hold charges for 1.5 hrs of normal usage). Running WinXP, one with SP2 and other had SP3. Both came in the last month with slow jerky TPAD function and nearly non responsive keyboard access. Checked the usual; virus, spyware, hijacking, driver conflict etc. Cloned drive and factory installed..still same problem with kb & mouse. However an external USB keyboard and mouse functioned normally (no lag). Noticed with Battery removed kb & mouse was normal. Finally found disabling ACPI control battery device resolved this issue while allowing laptop to run on either battery or AC.
