Right hand side page print quality very poor, almost unreadable

COULD BE THAT THE PAPER IS BIGGER SIZE THEREFORE CUTTING.NEED TO SAY FIT TO PAGE ON YOUR PRINTER DRIVER

Hi, remove the black drum and clean the corona wites and drum GENTLY with a LINT FREE CLOTH. If there uis no change in the print quality you may need to replace the black drum. Hope this helps

This cartridge is a photo quality toner and has worn out which needs to be replaced.

The problem may well be that the drum needs cleaning. There is a plastic flap on the rhs of the machine. Open that and you can pull a long lever out. You also need to let down the front cover and pull out the lever on the right hand edge that faces you. Then extend the long lever at the side as far as it can go and push it in and out a few times. This should solve the problem. Put the front lever back and close the cover. It took me ages to find this - Epson are not good at highlighting it,.

Two things to check,
1- clean the laser by opening the front cover, pull forward the green lever on the R/H side, take off the little panel on the R/H side of the printer and pull out/push in the lens cleaning "stick". Replace panel and push the lever back in, close the front and try a test print.
If that didn't work:
2- Open the lid, lift the orange lever and remove the photoconductor. Be careful with it as it is easily scratched. Inside the printer rotate the toner cartridges and check that the cartridge lock levers are fully locked as even a couple of millimeters can block the laser.

When printing, as thepaper is being transported up the printer, try pressing the right door panel of the printer firmly with your hand. If the colours are much improved then the printer requires a new Transfer roller.
1. Open the Right Door.
2. Remove the Transfer Roller while opening the shaft holder (white color) levers found at the left and right shaft ends of the Transfer Roller to unlock it. Lift out the roller.

Your application will actually override the settings of the printer, what i can suggest is for you to check if you are using the correct page length and margin setting in your software program.

Try using Laserjet 3 emulation driver as well

Sounds like the black dev unit is worn out. Easy enough to change yourself if it is out of warranty. If it is in warranty get Epson to do it for you.

It sounds as though a cartridge is faulty. To determine which one, the easiest way is to run a page of text/block of colour through in yellow then cyan then magenta. which ever page comes out with the streaks on it will tell you which cartyridge to ditch and replace.
