Question about HP LaserJet 3015 All-In-One Printer

HP Scanner Won't Install

When going through the install process is gets to "New printer detected. Pleasse wait." and nothing else happens. I've let it set for two hours and nothing. I've been able to manually install the printer to get the printer to work. But I can't get the scanner to be recognized. Any help?

    Thanks - But I've alreay done that five times.

    I also ran a registry cleaner after the uninstall to make sure the it was clear. The odd thing is that the printer part works just fine. But I need to use the scanner.

    Hp laserjet 3015 printer works great....just cannot get the scanner to operate. Any help is appreciated!

    I have the same problem. The software with the printer won't be installed on the 64-bit Vista computer by following the instruction. When go to the step of connecting the printer to the computer, the computer bypasses the installing software, detects and installs a driver for the print automatically. The software won't be installed. Off course, the HP toolbox won't be installed either. Then the printer can print but not scan well. However, no problem with WinXp.

I have this same issue.  To get the thing to scan, I have to go into HP All-in-One folder in my hard drive and re-run the HP Setup Assistant from the beginning.  When you do that, the HP Director should pop up automatically.  If you click the scan icon on the HP Director toolbar, it should work.  (at least, mine does, for about three sheets of paper, and then it dies.)  The problem I run into is if I'm scanning, I can't print.  I try to print and it just sits in the queue forever.  I have to restart the computer and turn off the printer to get it back to print-only mode.  Not sure if that will work for you and I have a Mac which might present even more problems, but might be worth a shot.

Unistall the software and with the printer on but not connected to the computer install the software again, but do not connect the printer to the computer until the software asks how you want to connect the printer. If you are connecting directly to the computer select that option, then the software should ask you to connect your usb cable, detect the printer and finish installing the software.

My HP Deskjet F380 all in one printer will copy but won't print

Switch off the printer,un install existing drivers(not to delete), restart the computer, switch on the printer, check whether system is recognized the printer?.. if not,try with another usb cable, no luck? problem with Logic card if available replace it or else go for new printer..
If system is recognized the printer, switch off the printer, run the driver CD.. connect USB cable when dialog box appears, do rest of the installation process. Shoot test page....Best off luck..

Hp office jet 5610 wont print colors correctly

Some printer software that detect ink levels won't recognize a cartridge that's been refilled. They treat the cartridge as empty although you've filled them with ink. You can try removing the HP software that pertains to the printing functions only (not the scanner abilities). You can also do a Power reset. Remove the printer cartridges, turn off the power, remove both the Power cord and USB cord (if applicable) for 10 minutes. After reconnecting the USB and power cords, install the cartridges as you normally would. The printer should treat them as new.

Izaakzakei cant get my printer connected to my laptop i have downloaded the driver but its still not working


You need to install the softeware first with the printer unplugged from the computer!

Insert your softeware disk and restart your computer, if computer doesn't detect new software when it is rebooting....than go into your control on install new software.

Once that is installed, you'll need to restart again with the printer hooked up this time.

Again, if computer doesn't detect new hardware, go into control panel, click on install new printer, you will have to select the make and model, or if you have the disk, select have disk, then computer should install the hardware for you printer.

After installed, restart see if if new software and hardware is detected and is being installed.

Go to your printers, from your control panel, and see if your printer is there, if not select, add new printer, it will take you through the process from there. Make sure you select this to be your default printer!

Nothing happens when i press scan on a hp f4280 have i missed something?

Install the software/driver for scanner and you can try scanning (Mspaint go to File> From Scanner or Camera>) if your device is configured right and software is installed correctly it should detect the default scanner.

HP L7650 Scanner Could Not Be Initialized in Leopard (Not Found)

If you're using Vista, this happens all too regularly with HP printers. I've had a few where I have to uninstall everything then re-install to make things work.
Two weeks later the same thing, same process.
Try downloading latest drivers from HP and see if that helps. HP don't admit there's a problem.
Don't seem to have this problem with Epson printers tho.

The computer cannot detect the scanner or camera

call the HP solution center. The 1-800 phone number is is on their website.
They will walk u through the whole process of connections as well as software install and resolve your issue by phone.
Don't worry its free support for your HP products for life.

Is this a all in one scanner/printer/fax/copier? What is the model???
1. Use the software disk that came with the device as opposed to trying to add it via plug and play and letting the PC recognize it. The drivers are on the CD.

Office Jet K60xi Scanner Failure

Try HP's web site suggestions first.

If your sacnner still fails to function, uninstall everything for the Officejet through add/remove in control panel. (Power off printer before uninstalling).
Go to Hp's web site.
Step 1. Click, Download drivers and software (and firmware).
Go to step 2. For product, type in Officejet k60xi .
Power on your printer. (Wait for printer to fully power on).
Click, Start Detection>> button.
Allow HP to scan your system & install the latest software.
Follow the on scren instructions. (When finished, restart your PC). Test your scanner by scanning something.
If your scanner still fails to scan, you may be missing basic HP files loaceted in windows system & windows system32 folders.
(These missing files were not installed during your install of windows). Not your fault.
