For a few months now i have had problems with snipping tool and getting grey screen on IE8/9... I have found the solution that will resolve this and fix the grey screen. The problem is with Trusteer Rapport - Open Rapport console and click on the large "green arrow" at the bottom, on the next page click on "Edit Policy" Enter the code and click OK, drop down the box on "Block Screen Capturing" and change it to "Never" and then click "SAVE" That will fix the grey screen problem. Hope this helps people :-)

In Wind XP, ALT+PrintScreen will put the active window in your clipboard, which you can then paste into MSPaint, or Word, etc. using SHIFT+INSERT.

In Vista & Win 7, use the Snipping Tool, save the file, then import it into your document.

How solve error p07 in canon mp287

First Step : Set The Canon PIXMA MP287 To Service Mode. To do that, follow this step, it's so easy.

  1. Turn off the printer without pulling the power cord.
  2. Press and hold the RESUME button (Green button), keep holding it and then press the power button, do not let go yet.
  3. Keep holding the power button, now release the RESUME button and then press theRESUME button for 5 times and quickly release the POWER button.
  4. When the printer entered the Service Mode, all LED will stop blinking.

Second STEP : Reset Canon PIMA MP287 Using Resetter. Open the mp287.exe, and then follow this step.

  1. Insert some A4 paper, the printer will print the result.
  2. Look for "Clear Ink Counter" section, press the "Main" button and wait for the message "A function was finished" and then press "OK" button.
  3. Press the "Platen" button located beside the "Main" button.
  4. Look for "Print" section, press the "EEPROM' button, select "Rear Tray" and pres "OK" button.
  5. The printer should printout the result. That's all, you may turn off your printer now. Sometime you need to press the POWER button several time in order to turn off the printer.

Cant get print screen to work by pressing print screen button

Pressing the print screen button does not actually print the screen to the printer. It copies it. Open WORD or PAINT and "paste" it. You can then actually print it

Windows xp dell latitude e6400 print screen command? tried fn+alt+ (f11) prt scrn and fn+(f11) prt scrn neither worked looking foreward to hear from you

What the Print Screen option does is copies the screen to the clipboard. You will need to use a program such as Word and past the content to the open page.
By hitting the Print Screen button by itself will show the image of the desktop.
The Alt + Print Screen combination will give you a pic of the active window

You can also try this...
If your Print Screen is labeled in blue & your Function key is also blue then you have to hold Fn key while using Print Scrn , "Fn"+"Print Scrn" or "Fn"+"Alt+Print Scrn"

let me know if you have any other questions..
Thanks!

Print screen doesn´t work

If the print screen button doesn't work, try to use Alt + Print Screen. If that doesn't work either, then try to re-install the software that came with your keyboard (if there is).

However, for most multi-media keyboards and mice, the CD that comes with them usually made to program the special buttons only. But I'm not sure in your case. There could be an option for you to re-program the buttons on your end, including the Print Screen button.

But if there's no way to re-program it and the Alt + Print Screen didn't help, then you may want to send the keyboard to the reseller or manufacturer for repair. It's a hardware defect.

Thank you and good luck!

I have a HP laptop I like to printscrren couple of page How can I do it please !

On a laptop, the print screen button is designated by "prt sc" or "prt scn" -- look for a button in the upper right portion of your keyboard. You will need to press and hold the the Function (usually "fn") key then tap (press and release) the button with the designation for print screen on it. This takes a "snapshot" of whatever is on your entire screen and temporarily saves it to the clipboard (like a "copy" does when you copy and paste something). If you wish to just capture the active window, hold the Function key, hold the alt key, then tap the print screen key. This only works on some laptops, not all. The easiest way to get to the picture you just created is to open the program Paint. Once open, press and hold ctrl (control) and tap "v" - this will paste the snapshot of the screen or window. You can crop, circle things, etc in Paint, then save the file or print it.

I'm tring to use a print screen to send out a report and I cant remember how to insert the print screen

The way I do it is to save the window image by pressing print screen and then pasting the saved image into Paintbrush. You can save it as a jpg instead of a bmp, if you like. Then you simply attach the saved image file to your email.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

My computer wont go past the vista start up screen and after about 5 minutes it shows a little blinking cursor in the top left hand corner

  • First try to disconnect printer, external hard drive and other devices from the system excluding monitor, keyboard and mouse then try to start up the system. if the system can boot to windows Vista that way, just reconnect the devices and restart the system. If it has the same problem, you will need to repair the Windows Vista using recovery tools in windows vista recovery environment.

  • You will need the Windows Vista DVD to access this recovery feature of Vista. Check the Discs that HP has provided and check if you have the Disc for Windows Vista. If you do not have it, you can borrow a Windows Vista DVD (Any versions) from a Friend or co worker. If not, just request the Disc from HP Support.

**Note : You will only need two tools under Windows Vista Recovery Environment, that is Startup Reapir and System Restore.

Starup Repair - This will automatically fix errors on the operating system (If this will not work, proceed to system restore)

System restore - You can revert back the system to an earlier date where is was working properly. (No files will be deleted if you this feature)

The link below is a complete step by step of what you need.

Link - Steps for System Restore :

**Note : If the Links will not work, just copy the whole link and paste it to your web browser's address bar. I Suggest that you print the steps so that you can perform the steps with accuracy.

Using the print screen button

When you use the Alt Print Screen button then you need to place it onto a word document in order to print it. Open up word and select to paste the frame into your word document and then print it out.
